No one else is doing it. Being that he fabricates this stuff on his own. He can charge what he wants. If you can't afford it you can't afford it. If its too expensive for you its too expensive. There are alternatives. There's no need to complain about what the man charges for his service. Welcome to the world of capitalism.
Well said. :patriot:

the CTR retro will always be more expensive than other clutch kits because other kits is like throwing money away, u can’t expect these after market companies to buy the car and develop the clutch and drive it through hell, push real power through it or even be something you would want in your new car that’s most likely someone’s daily driver.
Acts track record on previous gen civics is horrible too fyi

Obviously the Type R retro clutch is the best clutch that holds a ton of power, but not everyone is trying to push a lot of power nor spend that amount of money, this is where bigger aftermarket companies come in making clutches that are affordable and capable to hold a little more power than stock clutch. We have been unfortunate so far with with aftermarket clutches in the 10th gen civics, so far 1 other tester has the ACT clutch and has been giving great reports about it, so I have high hopes for it, only time will tell.

The ctr retro is just as good on a car with bolt ons or even stock because it pretty much feels like the clutch from a CTR car. Your paying saving like 100 bucks buying a ACT and it will feel like aftermarket clutch, heavy pedal, choppy engagement and shifting lockout. Most people that will test it will say the usual “it’s good bro” for the first few weeks or months as they did with the spec and CM then they will express issues and then u got a basically another piece of junk ‍♂

1600 for a oem part, oem feel, AND it will hold all the power this car will ever make. Seems like a fair price.

I just placed an order for my kit through his website.
Its $1,500 up front but you get $250 back when you return your stock flywheel.
A clutch, pressure plate and flywheel kit from Spec or Clutch Masters would run you around $1,000 so the price is actually pretty comparable to what's in the aftermarket. Not to mention that some people have to spend an additional $200 on an upgraded CMC to solve shifting issues with those kits.

There is also the added benefit of cost saving on future clutch jobs. Once you have the modified flywheel, you would just need to buy an OE Type-R disk and pressure plate for around $3-400, if you ever needed to change the clutch again.

But don’t you have to send your core back first, meaning you’d likely be without a car for three weeks?
Nope. it just takes a little longer to get your kit because he has to order a core himself and then machine it (or whatever). Once you do the install, have your mechanic give you everything he took off your car and then send Eman the flywheel and he will reimburse you the $250 shortly after he receives. It is mad easy. I was worried at first but everything went perfectly. The website he created would have been nice at the time. Now it is even easier!

Thanks.

What is the kzCMC, by the way? Is that worth ordering?
