I saw a tear in my shifter boot on my 2018 shifter boot. Not idea how this happened.
Do you guys know the part number?

Same spot, same tear on my 2017. Not sure if I want same Honda boot... 2 of us makes me think it’s a poor quality material. I’m not sure I want to keep replacing them boots every 2 years.

2 years, how many miles? Sounds like a warranty issue.

I'm at 42k miles over 2.5 years and I don't have this issue

38k miles. 2.5 years as well. I’m pretty sure boot is not under warranty even if it would be less than 36k.

Just buy an aftermarket boot, something nice. Will fit the same and probably cost the same or less.

It would be 36k as that's the bumper to bumper warranty.

you might still try asking the dealer to goodwill it under warranty. It shouldn't be happening and despite the 2k miles over, the dealer might warranty it. It won't hurt to ask

So, it is not me then. I thought I poked it with something sharp.
Problem is how do I prove this to the dealership.
