No garage to store it in?
Nope, apartment unfortunately so I have to risk some non driving moron hitting it. The GF and I have 3 cars so I usually can sandwich it between, or my si holds the wider spot with a curb on one side that I'll swap it into. lol Need to look into getting a VA loan to get a house

I feel you, in that situation I'd drive it just to be able to monitor it. Good luck finding a house!

Thanks brother. Been waiting on her to fix her credit because her mom wrecked it. I do usually plug my external battery and have my dashcams running. Someone already rear-ended me when I was driving it, before I had even made a payment, just sent the video to the woman's insurance, dashcams are a great investment. It was a 2016 Dodge journey with completely bald tires and a whole bunch of body damage already. When I was working out that way there were numerous occasions where a woman in an SUV nearly t boned me, or head on, because if you're on the main road and they're off in Dunkin donuts in a lot, they get the right of way to pull out before the person on the highway with his turn signal on.... It's like women in SUVs are trying to kill my car. Whenever I see one on the road I'm in full alert mode lol

Bro I get so paranoid driving this car. Like is this person behind me going to stop in time? Last Friday while trying to merge into the center lane, I noticed another driver also trying to merge in after me but got too close to my Type R. I honked at them and kept driving but when I pulled over and looked at my car I had a white streak on my drivers side rear fender! Luckily it wasn't a scratch and just rub off from the other car. I washed and polished the car and luckily there isn't any trace of white paint. Just a little of my paint where the fender meets the rear bumper got scraped off. Definitely looking into a dashcam soon. Which one do you recommend?

I don't know much about them. I got a papago (don't recall the model) that has a front and rear camera. It has modes for automatic (on with the car) to take stills every second or so, or motion activated. With motion activated for sitting unattended our car obviously doesn't supply power while it's off so you either need to hardwire it in or run an external battery pack. I just chose the latter.

I got mine from microcenter for $200. There are more expensive ones I'm sure that are better, but this has pretty good quality and a filter to amplify light during night. During the day you can capture plate numbers as long as it's not moving laterally quickly. Night time is a wash but you can capture everything clearly with the front, the rear is dependant more on light since you don't have much of a source.

Lol a dashcam was the first mod I did for the car the morning after I brought it home.

There is this "360" camera I'd definitely steer clear from. Picture quality is horrible and the way it sits gets a ton of glare from the sun rendering it useless

Edit:
This is what I have

https://www.amazon.com/PAPAGO-GoSafe-Channel-Sensor-Waterproof/dp/B07B9QKQ82

But search around and see what you want.

Ive been hogging this corner for 6 months. The Si has been hit multiple times while parked. When I was getting ready to get out of the Army doing all of the out processing, some douche nozzle with a brodozer ran into the passenger side bumper. Someone saw him do it and put a note on my car with his tag number, filed a report with the MPs on post but they of course didn't do anything and I was leaving soon so I didn't have time to stay and try to get him. All kinds of door dings and I nice old dent from someone running into the back of it here. Shit is infuriating.

I am so sorry to hear that. People are such pieces of work! Glad you have "body" guards for the Type R. Hopefully you don't have to deal with that frustration much longer!

I've had bad luck body wise. I've been rear ended twice (once *inside* of one of those automated car washes) and I hit a full retread at about 0445 in the morning that ripped off the splitter, and damaged the intercooler and exhaust...

WOW! 3800 miles in 2 years! I am approaching 9 months and just hit 3900 miles. At least since your car is low mileage it will retain the higher resale price.
Someone once told me this...

"Why keep the milage low for resale? That's like not having sex with your girlfriend so that she is tight for the next guy..."

Just saying...

Bought my 2019 CTR 06/15/19 currently has 2,800 miles 600 miles of that was driving it back home from the dealership that sold the car to me at list.
If I keep milage at 5k or under per year I get a big discount on my car insurance

2018 one year old and 5000 miles drive it on a as need basis but not daily. When you are 74 years old you do not have to go to work.
