Anyone that have a front strut bar notice any different in handling?

You're probably one of the more honest reviewers of results after FSB install. I usually buy one for looks, and something to lean on in the engine bay.

I feel a difference with the two bars I've used (UR and DC Sports) but you have to understand what they do. If you're expecting less body roll in tight corners you'll feel absolutely no difference.

What they do is keep the front strut tower geometry accurate when you push things hard. Basically I find that when I have to do a fast, twitchy lane change or accident avoidance move, the car feels more stable. And the front end feels slightly tighter through bumps.

A better mod for handling the curves is a somewhat bigger rear sway bar (but not too big).

I do have front strut bar on my older car and can feel different like you mention for fast lane cut to avoid accident or speed hump thing..
But i can literally feel nothing on my ctr.. i guess the chassis is made very good to begin with .. or i am not professional enough to feel the diff..
It just seems like a piece of useless metal adding weight to the car..

Ah. You have a CTR. I saw the topic and didn't check that it was the R forum. My bad. My guess is the R is more rigid to begin with than the other 10th gens. My car is not a R. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks and no need to sorry.
I do have a 18 sport hatch and 19 ctr.. i have the strut bar on both and to honest, i feel little to no improvement.
I am thinking either i am not pushing the car hard enough to feel the function of FSB.. or 10th gen hatch chassis is nicely built.

I was at sema and spoke to a spoon sports rep who is part of the R&D team at spoon. He stated the front and rear strut bar is not needed on a type r since the car is already so rigid. With the addition of springs and rigid collars the strut bars aren't needed. I have both springs and rigid collars in the car and it feels amazing, I do own a strut bar (j's racing) that I had bought before I installed the springs and felt no difference prior to the springs and collar installs.

Does the rigid collar add extra vibration to the cabin?? I am thinking to buy rigid collar as well.
What spring did u go with?

I went with Spoon rigid collars and Spoon spring, no extra vibration what so ever, just made the car feel really planted to the ground. Feels really good when driving in the canyons IMO...
