Airbox removal (Acura)

I'm trying to install my intake but cant take out the airbox. I unscrewed the 2 size 10 bolt and the grommet. Is there a bolt on the bottom that I'm missing? I have a 2018 LX.

Yes there is one bolt underneath that you have to loosen or remove. You can struggle with it or take the front bumper off, which allows full access to everything. It is possible to get the lower air box without removing the bumper. Just takes time and patience.

You probably already got it out. If you haven’t and you like to suffer you can take that bottom bolt out from up top in like an hour if you use enough curse words while doing it. You will not be able to see it, there is like < inch gap above it which is all the space you gonna have, ratchet didn’t fit if I remember well.

I was doing PRL install on a parking lot without jacking up the car.

Fuck that bottom bolt lol. I couldn't get my fat fingers in there so I ripped the box out like the hulk.

For what it's worth the 2018 ILX does not share an engine (or intake) with the 2016+ Civic.
