Sorry, what all did they cover on your repair? I just got the recall letter, you think the whole a/c unit is covered for 10 years?

All parts and labour and the diagnostic fee were eventually covered. The check is in the mail. According to the letter only the condenser is covered, however, the lubrication is in the refrigerant and if it leaks out it will destroy your pump as well. I can't see how they can install a faulty component that is essential for the system and brush off the subsequent damage. Even a faulty seal could destroy your system, so they could in essence according to the letter's reasoning be liable just for the seal only which is pennies. If you don't let them get away with it, you could probably get the whole thing covered like I did.

Check deposited fully covered. Looks like I made the correct decision to buy a Honda! Still loving it!

I assume since you paid out of pocket initially you were out of bumper to bumper warranty when you had the repair done?
It's good to see at least one case of them covering the other damage caused by the faulty component. Now if I only they'll fess up and cover the other damaged AC components for anyone else who has the condenser replaced.

They covered the ENTIRE repair. They supplied parts and later paid for the diagnostic fee AND the labour. I was out of warranty at the time. Kudos to HONDA.

If your AC still blows cold then don't worry about it. The warranty is extended so no worries.

it crapped out twice for 2 different reasons and then i had a leaking compressor. now they are denying warranty. so all i got are worries. theres still a noise and issue
