I run XP8s in the rear with no error codes, however I did have some frustration with the install. The pads are a lot thicker than stock, and even when you turn the rear piston in all the way, it takes some force to get the caliper over the pads.

No issues once they’re installed though, and I’ve never put the car into maintenance mode. Have you tried reinstalling the stock pads to see if the parking brake errors go away? If it does, I’d try swapping in the xp8 without any maintenance mode and see if it stays off.

I just swapped out my original OEM rears last night with HAWK performance ceramics and am having the same issue. I took off the e-brake motors and spun the torx bolt all the way clockwise until it came to a stop. At first I tried spinning the brake piston but it wasn't really retracting, so I just squeezed the piston all the way in with channel locks, like you'd do to front brakes. The parking brake still works and disengages and sounds the same/same duration but the car thinks it's still on. VERY annoying having the car beep at you the entire time you're driving. Not sure how much thicker these pads are compared to new OEM pads, but they do seem pretty thick. It's going to take a lot of driving to wear these down. I haven't drove the car today but I'm going to in a little bit and maybe i'll get lucky and it won't beep me to death.

When I put the calipers back on (no trouble getting it on) i twisted the torx spindle slighty to the left to make it snug. I wonder if I take it back off and twist it all the way and keep it there this time when I put the motor back on it would help. I also unplugged the motors when I took them off, hopefully that didn't mess with it.
