Signed up for the unlimited car wash pass. I know some people hate going to car washes but for $33 a month it's the best defense I'll have against the salt they litter the roads with up here.
There is one I was looking into doing near me and it’s $16 a month. A lot of people say it’s very good.

Those are some good rates for a car wash subscription. When I lived in Tempe, AZ I had an excellent subscription that did the exterior and interior plus wheels for about $27 a month. I tried to go at least once a week. It sure kept the Civic looking fresh.

Also did a Hella horn install. I don't recommend it, was a pain and required some modification, but looks cool now that you can see them behind the vents if you look close.

I was looking into adding an AEM intake, do you have any problems with the check engine light? Ive heard people run into this issue.

Well, did it on Sunday, and I'm roughly 48 hours in. On first start, I had a vacuum leak and that was pretty hilarious. CEL, P2101 code on the scanner, Christmas tree of lights. Engine "idled" between 500 and 1500 rpm. Basically the ECU was having a fit.

Once I fixed the vacuum issue (missed a clamp) the car still wouldn't idle correctly and I still had CEL. So, I took the negative battery terminal off again for ~15 minutes, reconnected, and right back to 750rpm smooth idle, no CEL.

After watching a couple of Youtube videos, I was careful to avoid touching the MAF sensor at all.

All that to say: So far, so good. Intake noise is great. Throttle response feels MUCH better (confirmation bias, yeah). Really wakes the car up, though it'll probably heat-soak like crazy once summer comes.

Alright dope, so I called my dealer and they said adding a CAI won’t void any warranties unless proven to do damage. What kind of damage can a cold air intake do?

I had for months now, never got a CEL, and it’s been good since the beginning.
I think the only damage the intake can do is if it sucks in water, or dirt if it’s not installed correctly.
You’ll like it.

TBH I’m not sure. Is it the 2.0?
K20C2? If that’s the case, I don’t see why not, either way when you go check out, it’ll ask you to select your make and model, and it’ll tell you if it fits or not.

nothing really. If you mess up your MAF sensor it’ll throw a code. Can’t think of much else.
