That's what confuses me. I keep pointing out how many users just want a little headroom to safely make max power on pump gas, and keep getting people replying about how I won't get anymore power on pump gas than I am now. Which is obvious, and not what I said that I was looking for. o_O

I think that people are so obsessed with more that they can't understand any other goals.
yup. i ran out of fuel in the midrange the moment Drob made the AFR more rich lol. I'm fine with the current power just want slightly more just for "safe" purposes without spending basically $3000 for the hondata set up.

Agreed. I just ordered the last of my bolt ons and am planning a trip down to see DRob next spring. Would love to have a fueling option available before then.

It looks like 4P sells upgraded injectors for our engine. Would these work with the stock fuel pump to increase output?

Looking at my data logs the injectors never really reach more then 40% duty cycle while the pump is at 100% and 300-400psi under CMD so I don’t think injectors are really needed. You can see where the injectors almost double in open time to compensate for the lack of fuel.

nice. Drob is a great guy. I really wish he was close but being in cali, i had no choice but to go the etune route because i wanted him to do my car.
I don't think the injectors are the big issue for what we are trying to achieve.

yup. My duty is usually around 36% and at like 7.6ms. This is exactly why spending close to 3000 for the whole set up just doesn't seem worth it for me. At least for people whos just looking for a little bit more headroom and not aiming for power, i personally think just a slightly bigger pump would do it.

I am no professional though so idk. :dunno:

If not chasing 800-1k HP I agree with everyone here. A slightly higher output pump is great. Maybe an overdriven one would suffice.

Has Hondata even stated if we can run straight E85 with their setup with FBO?
That would be nice in comparison, but so far: unless some else shows up in January with another fuel pump option, the quickest way will be Hondata.

You can, but its a waste. You only make power up to E40. Beyond that you lose power, until you’re basically at the same power as a pump gas tune.

That’s because we can’t get enough of it with our fuel systems. E85 is superior to pump gas if you can support it.

You asked if the Hondata fuel package can support E85. Yes you can, yes they have stated it. But no you won't make power past E40.

Anyone have a spare factory HPFP? Been digging around and some people run caps or spacers to get more stroke out of the pump on other DI platforms.
