short answer yes
long answer - kind of. Look I like the EX as a whole with the exceptions that getting an exhaust has been a nightmare. I also stupidly went with a black car, and I'm really not loving it over the blue I almost bought. If i wont the lotto tomorrow and was going to still stick with a civic then i'd be trading it in for a sport touring in blue.

No. Still loving my 2018 Sport Hatchback 6MT. It does everything I want, and nothing I don't. I like to drive my car without electronic interference, and my car lets me do that. I get great gas mileage (39-40mpg) and love the way it drives. No regrets!

I don't wish I got a higher trim, I just wish I would've waited for the 2020 Sport Hatch, which has so many more features than my 18 sport hatch.

No, I've always been a "be happy what you have" guy. Plus, I got the EX since the EXT has leather seats and I hat leather interior.

Not at all.

Love my '18 LX 6MT, and my K20 motor. Now, if I could've gotten a K20 w/a 8k redline, I wouldn't have minded. :D

In particular, glad to have a very "analog" car, with no HondaSense, Direct Injection, complex infotainment, etc. Honestly, the only thing I miss about a higher trim is LEDs and Variable/Intermittent wipers.

I bought the Type R. Really glad I did. I would have been pissy every time I saw one if I had bought the Si that I was considering. Sure it was more money, and my payment is higher, but now I'm paying for the car I wanted, not the one I settled for.

Yeah I wish I got the highest trim but another 20k more wouldn't have agreed with my bank account. It's a good daily with the TSP Stage 1. But Civic Hatchback Sport < Type R.

No regrets with my base model lx, its a massive upgrade from what I started with, and the 6 speed is great, not much aftermarket support, but I'm sure they will come around eventually, in no rush to do anything to it

Nope. I debated between the SI and Type R, but ultimately went with the SI as it was the right amount of “sporty” without going too far, which the Type R is for my personal tastes.

Same -- I wish I had time to wait for the mid-cycle refresh. My wife wanted to replace our cars right away, though, and the '17 hatch had just come out.

I also wish (1) the Type-R was reasonably available without a stupid dealer markup at the time, and (2) my wife were cool with the Type-R. :(

The only thing I wish I had for my 17 Sport Hatch is push button start. Upgraded infotainment system. Right lane change camera and a sunroof which the newer models come standard. I can live without these luxuries though since I have them in my 15 Civic EX-L.

No, I can't afford a Type R atm nor do I want one. Wanted an Si since before I had my 13 Ex but I had no credit and no one to cosign for me at the time so I had to settle for that because I needed a vehicle. Eventually was able to get the Si and I have no regrets.

Since I was only considering manuals, the next one up for me would be an Si (I got 5 door Sport manual). I like the versatility of the hatchback, and the sonic gray. The only thing I do miss from the Si is the LSD. Also, the coupes look nice. A sonic gray Si might’ve made the decision more difficult.

A type R would’ve been the dream, but I couldn’t afford/justify it.
