That is a bit disappointing. While I did not necessarily expect him to come share all of his secrets for free (he has a right to make a living), $1450 sounds like he is taking advantage of the situation. Just my opinion.
Sounds about
You're going to be waiting forever or till someone else finds out what needs to be done. One of my buddies just PM'ed him on Facebook and he replied to my buddy saying that he charges $1450 to do the install for you parts included but will not share how to do it. Mind you my buddy and I are not even local to him so that's fucked up in my book. It's shit like that, that really pisses me off the " I have to be one step ahead of you" mentality. It's people like him that have ruined the car community in alot of cities, the car community should be about helping each other how ever we can!
thats how much I paid. 1,080 for the fx300 and flywheel and 400 for labor. It’s no different.

Are these still being produced? Also how is the install? Your installers have any difficulties?

The Advanced Clutch Technologies clutch holds lots of promise. Let's hope that the product lives up to the expectation. We should be seeing them in the wild any day now.

CTR Retrofit Clutch and SMF + upgraded CMC + SS Clutch line awaiting install on my Si! Just had an ND Miata for a week in Los Angeles, and that reminded me how light our clutch pedal is and how much rev hang our cars have.

I don’t know, those companies pay manufacturers to make something to their specs. He’s literally buying a product available to anyone that he has no hand in making and modifying it. Now what would the labor be to modify the flywheel only if someone were to bring the parts on their own. Better not be no1400

No one else is doing it. Being that he fabricates this stuff on his own. He can charge what he wants. If you can't afford it you can't afford it. If its too expensive for you its too expensive. There are alternatives. There's no need to complain about what the man charges for his service. Welcome to the world of capitalism.

Because no one else knows how to do it right. Emans modified and sold well over 70 kits with 0 issues. One guy tried to do it himself since he thought he knew how and failed

So it’s like apple and the iPhone right? No one does it quite like them so they get away with charging what they charge to the masses. Even though they spend x amount to make it. Yup capitalism

One guy in a shop fabricating a product isn't even really capitalism per se. That's just basic market exchange that dates to time immemorial. That's a craftsman setting his own labor rates. Actually extremely different than a multinational corporation using cheap labor to build a mass-produced consumer commodity and generating profits on the excess value produced by that labor. Not sure why you are so upset about the CTR retro pricing. Its pretty competitive, especially if you live in SoCal (I don't). But you are paying for expertise, craftsmanship, tooling, time. Honestly, I assumed Exedy would bring a similar product to market, considering they had developed the CTR clutch in the first place. They completely dropped the ball. There is a hole in the market, he is filling it (within his limited production capacity).

I’m not hating on it. Just the secrecy and the pricing continuing to rise it seems every few months. It is what it is and I get that. When I’m looking to upgrade my clutch, Eman’s modified stock clutch may very well be the only and still best solution for the L15. I’m hoping that fellow from Ohio gets to figure out the last few steps he needs to relicate the same results so people can just diy and literally only have to invest in buying the ctr clutch kit.

With the supply and demand, it makes sense the price is going up. Others will enter the market and the price will go back down because the supply will go up. A niche in the market until others can reproduce the same product.
