It seems to me many drivers of the Nissan Altima are just plain a holes. Let me set this up: I'm coming home from my trip from Southern Cal driving highway 5 at about 70 mph in the right lane trying to get around slow drivers in the left lane (typical of Northern Cal drivers). I pass up a guy driving a newer Altima going maybe 60 in the left lane. He sees me me merging into left lane and suddenly floors his tiny little 2.5L transforming suddenly into a speed demon, but he is no match for my 3.5L, and I easily put 2 to 3 cars distance and comfortably change into the left lane. He than proceeds to flash me, honk his horn and tailgate me. I slow down to irritate him, and then he changes lanes around me giving me the finger as he passes, shooting past 90 mph.

This is not the first run in with Altima drivers. Many times they will tailgate, not let you in, try to beat me at the light or try to be the first on a freeway on ramp. This has happens no matter what car I am driving. I'm just kinda of curious if this has happened to anybody else or just isolated to me.

If you have friends and family that drive Altimas and you know what I'm talking about, let me know I'm not crazy!

Add maxima drivers in there. But yes, ive noticed a pattern too. Its usually later models though. Granted not alot of older models with good trannys left on the road.

You are not crazy at all.

Figured.

The ones I always see driving like shit are these. Specifically the 2.5L and usually in blue.

BTW, I have nothing against Altimas. Thanks for confirming I'm not delusional

I’ll agree but I noticed it’s the Altima sedan drivers surprisingly the Altima coupe drivers drive normal ( there’s quite a bit of Altima coupes driving around in my area surprisingly). But most of the idiot drivers around me is the diesel powered 4x4 pickups with flow masters and neon lights underneath

You can add Audi drivers too. They think they have the fastest and best car out there.
Sounds like the Altima driver was pissed u went around him. But why was he going 60 in the left lane?

So I was on my way home this morning on a trip that should have been smooth sailing since its Sunday morning when all of a sudden traffic comes to a screeching halt and I had to go five miles in bumper to bumper stop and go traffic... Turns out someone in this exact car ran out of talent on I-95 and smashed their POS.

Nissan drivers in general - they have a penchant for targeting people with poor credit & shoddy driving histories.

Studies have shown that there's a correlation, and creditworthiness definitely correlates with insurance premiums.

This is how a lot of Northern Cal drivers drive. They end up causing traffic jams because they drive slow in every lane. And they don't give a crap. This was on California interstate 5 about 250 miles outside of San Jose where the speed limit is 70 mph but most normal people drive 80 or 90. Slower drivers and trucks are supposed to stay in the right lane (there are signs about every 5 miles that say this). I had a strong feeling that he would turn a hole when I passed him to change into the left simply because he was driving an Altima
