1 thing you hate about your 10th gen civic?

Only had my car for about a week.

So far, I just wish the EX sounded louder / had the exhaust options that the Sport has..

Electronic hand brake by far. I haven't found anything i dislike about it except that.

And, worse, didn't even look at the menu system you can see to, just maybe, work sorta a little like it works.

BTW, speaking for myself, I don't begin to understand the e-brake rage. Except for J-turns and DIY lining pad replacement complication, I just don't see it as being any kind of an issue. I just don't think J turns or DIY brake jobs affects more than an minuscule population of owners.

This one more is personal preference.

I find the need to remove the skid plate in order to change the oil very annoying.. but that's probably due to years of conditioning of never ever doing it before. Ever.

what is the "skid plate"exactly ?

If simply a skid plate, then access holes/panels at key points would have been easy to implement, and not affect "skid functions"

On the other hand, if its for aerodynamic reasons..
I'd trade whatever marginal gains that gives for 10 minute DIY oil changes any day.

It definitely is more for aero purposes as well as keeping water, debris etc out of the engine bay. But I also hate it. I actually took mine to a shop for the oil change last time because I didn't want to mess with the stupid skid plate.

Yeah, that thin metal wouldn't do much from a protection perspective. I had mine off about a month ago and I didn't mind it. But I'm coming from a Subaru with the annoying plastic under tray held on mostly by plastic retaining clips. That was truly annoying, since they inevitably break or fall out.

If you think this piece of aluminum sheet is unnecessary (which it is) what’s the problem? Just unscrew it and toss it, sell it on ebay, recycle it, or keep it and put it back on when selling/turning in/trading in the car.
I’ll keep it on because it takes me a minute to remove/ replace. But I lift the front wheels on the ramps high enough to work completely comfortably under the car.

Two things but really they are sort of related. The flimsy windshield and wipers. A leaf hits it and the windshield chips. The wipers are garbage. They chatter like crazy and just make the whole experience feel cheap. I'll need to swap out the blades and it hasn't even been a year. And I've already replaced my windshield, too.

Really mine has gotten hit by rocks on the highway on several occasions and been fine knock on wood..but yeah the windshield are very cheap I just replaced mine at 30k but I drive a lot (2018)

1 thing only? Can I tell 2?
1) Stock rims of the european hatch version. Jesus the Civic is intended to be a sport car and you put those rims on it? They fit great for the 1.0 engine versions but not for the 1.5. Also why are they different from the US version lol?
2) How about the frame crossbars in MY 2020. They absolutely make no sense and don't make it more aggressive as they say. I'm planning to change these 2 things asap once I install the Type R spoiler.

Having a salesperson hit me up every time I go in for service. My stealer is always wanting me to prolong my debt. Other than that, my car does not know it lives in Arizona, where almost the whole state does not have to change the clock twice a year, so I have to read the manual twice a year.

Oh that horrible feeling of a hunted rabbit when the salesman approaches....
I haven't ever been at my dealer for service since I bought my civic almost 2 years ago, but I have been there to visit the Parts dept. and have been for my CR-V maintenance. Every time I go there I look at what they have in the showroom and around the lot to see the new cars. Just recently they had a Type R in the showroom for the first time as far as I know. Before, if you didn't ask, you would not be aware Type R even existed. Now, they actually might be trying to sell it...
So my salesman finds me almost every time I go there and chats with me. It's a helpful fellow so understandably he wants so bad to help me replace this old eyesore CR-V sitting in my garage with a new car that I could be proud of.

The guy still remembers details about me and I don't feel like I'm being hit particularly hard. After all I'm not a sensitive vulnerable college student always in search of a "safe space" . I don't mind sales folks and I don't really feel any hate or pain when they talk to me. It's his job to sell cars like it's mine to squeeze funding out of the government, and I really don't give a .... consideration about the national debt when I do it.
