I felt a loss of power in the midrange. No significant but it’s there. That’s to be expected though with a more free flowing exhaust. As a generalization, the more restriction/back pressure, the more low end torque. Less, more HP up high. Like I said though, it’s not significant.

the exhaust also has less drone compared to oem, even. It’s very quiet to me, after 1-2000 miles. It’s an interesting piece, not loud, but incredibly light. I still can’t get over the weight, and with the thin piping, you’d imagine a more tinny sound, but it doesn’t. I’m overall happy with it. I don’t need a 3inch or the like because I’m not trying to squeeze out every inch of drag racing hp. I do love the canister design and black/cf tips though. It’s really grown on me.

I've just bought myself a Spec-L hoping to fit next week. I've driven 40k miles now with OEM setup so looking forward to a little more noise. I didn't want anything too loud just something more prenounced inside and out.

Curious what move people did next after this addition. Did you go front pipe, downpipe, sports cat catless and how did it improve the sound?

I’ve owned the hks legamax and I personally thought it was too quiet. I’m between thermal or greddy sp. People who have thermal, how’s it for daily driving? I can’t have anything too obnoxious with kids in the back. Thanks!
