View attachment 186579 View attachment 186580 Good day, all. More newbie questions - never got new wheel / tire combos for a car before.

1. See the pics here. Balance weights. I'm assuming this application is typical? Seems a little loose to me. Should they all not be in the same orientation? Side to side? Seems like they were done, then checked, then updated by an inspector. Am I worrying too much?

2. Is this a defect? I cannot "rub" it off.

3. Torque specs for lug nuts. The manual says for 2.0L engines, 94 foot/lbs. The T/R instructions say mfg. specs. Is that the car, the tire, or the wheel manufacturer?

Sorry for the newb stuff - tires are pretty important!

I'll be ceramic coating them now and ready for install. FUN!

Those types of weights are fine. They are placed to balance the tire/rim combo. However, one of those looks like it has a LOT of weight. It might have been better to try rebalancing at least that one ;)

T/R = Tire rack? They want you to follow your owners manual when tightening the wheels.
