I have a question, I have the TSP stage 1 on Ktuner. If I am under WOT and want a little more boost, does it hurt the car to hit the sport button while in WOT?

If i'm not mistaken I don't think the car allows the sudden change in mode while WOT. Why not just have the car in sport to begin with?

Unless im mistaken sport mode doesn't affect boost just throttle response. unless you had someone tune your car to make more boost when pressing the sport button you should be fine.

Damn really? i could have sworn when im not in sport mode and i go WOT my max PSI is like 17. Where in sport its closer to 19 in the same gear.
Although i know for sure with ktuner, sport and comfort are two different tunes with two different max boosts.

TSP Stage 1 gives more boost in sport mode.

Well, sometimes I forget to put it in sport mode and I was just wondering if this was possible encase I ever wanted to race and the car next to me is slightly pulling on me, if I were to hit the sport button would it give me the additional 5lbs of boost I may need to get around them or not. Or would it hurt the car.

If that's your plan, you absolutely have to put a NOS sticker on your sport button...

I've thrown the car into sport while driving, not at WOT so I can't really give u an exact answer, but I know if ur going fast enough it won't let u switch over from comfort to sport

I've definitely turned off sport mode while I'm jamming through a tight corner faster than I should. It was a hair-raising experience having the dampers suddenly go mushy mid-turn.

I haven't attempted switching while under heavy throttle, though.

Turning off will work, turning sport on while going fast enough won't work.. But I bet lol

I’ve done it and I have tsp1 and it does work. I did it in 3rd and at about 4500rpm I hit sport and then vtec kicked in yo! You’ll feel a difference.

Hmmm any idea if this will hurt the car? It would be rather nice having an additional 5lbs or so of boost on tap!
