I'm getting 17x7.5 wheels and need summer tires. A lot more options at 225/50R17 than 215/50R17 and I thought maybe 225s fit 7.5" wheels better?

Anyone running this size? Miata calculator says it's 0.5" larger diameter (+1.8%).

Do you have 7” wheels !? & if you so how are the 225s doing ??? I recently bought 225s & I just not decided to look up how far 7” can go & they all say 215.

I ended up getting OZ Ultraleggera 17x8s, so I went with 235/45R17 Pilot AS3+ tires. I didn't find a good selection in 225 width tires.

Only pic I could scrounge up.

Nice, how do the wider tires feel ?
They feel great, good grip and not really any tramlining. Though can't really say how different it is vs the stock 18s. The Michelins are kinda loud but otherwise solid.

VarmintCong What was your stock size? Was it 215/50R17?

My stock tire is 215/50R17, and still juggling if I want to go for 225/50R17 or 235/45R17

Btw, my car is Civic Sedan
