My day's off to a great start. The car in front of me spat up a big ass rock, and put two +6 inch gouges/dents in the hood, plus a bunch of scrapes in the windshield, dead center in front of my vision. I kinda just wanna die right now. Any tips for dealing with insurance/repairs?

Nice. Are they just self tapping screws?
is the metal they are mounted to a c-channel, or is it enclosed?
I'm also considering adding some auxiliary high-beams behind my mesh grill and am determining mounting options prior to purchase
I'd also be putting two hella horns in at the same time

(sorry, replied to the wrong individual)

Nothing yet, but I did order these for my 2019 Si Sedan:
  • KTuner v1.2 w/ TSP Stage 1 tune
  • PRL Cobra CAI (Race MAF)
  • PRL Intercooler
  • Acuity short-shifter
  • Acuity cable bushings
  • Acuity shift boot collar upgrade
  • Skunk2 shift knob
Don't know when I'm going to have a mechanic look at all of this, but should it all be at once, probably?

At some point I'm also looking to tint my windows, and get paint correction and ceramic coating. Shoot, my car is getting closer to being a $35,000 vehicle now, heh.

If I was you, I'd have a hard time resisting uploading a base tune right now. Even without the intake or intercooler installed you'd have a blast.

Ugh, sorry that happened to you. That sucks. Don't really have any tips but just say go to a body shop and see what they can do for the damage to the hood. If it's less than your deductible, then that's the likely route and pay out of pocket. Is the windshield cracked?

Not cracked that I can tell (yet; could still develop a hairline crack I suppose). I'm really hoping to just get a new hood, which would probably end up above my $1k deductible after installation and windshield repair. I just hope my insurance will cover that rather than only covering a repair job to the current hood. This would be my first time filing a claim so I'm just trying to figure out what the best route is.

Hit a deer at their peak population the day before hunting season begun. Everyone in the car is okay. Estimated $2800 damage. Watch out for our four legged friends!

So sorry to hear this but glad that everyone is okay! At least you know you're safe inside a Civic. We have a lot of deer here and it can be downright scary coming around a corner and then facing a group of them just in the road. You never know when they are going to appear!
Hope your insurance takes good care of you and that you get back on the road soon!

Your civic took it well
I seen cars that get destroyed by deer.
Either way, sorry to hear that glad everyone is ok and hope you have a fair deductible.
