There is a guy that put one on his and it is still running fine. His name is Markie Pacheco on Instagram, he lives in Florida from what it looks like. I ended up following him just to keep an eye on his civic and see how it does. Seems to be doing just fine. It can be done but all of the SI boys will hate on you for sure.
Yeah but than he tried to sell it so idk...

LOL.. He sure did. But everybody in that thread was saying his engine was going to blow up yaddy yaddy yadda. Which it didn't.. Heck I'll be happy with a base tune. I have some Eibachs I'm putting on after winter. Here in Denver there's so much traffic I can barely Rev out my car bone stock right now

there is not a cost effective way to tune the ecu for boost at this point, but you can buy a type r turbo manifold and it will bolt up and make your own turbo kit

I just wish somebody would make a supercharger for the 2.0 already. I mean come on! There is a supercharger kit for just about everything else out there including a Honda Fit! But nobody can make one for this engine that I think would be a blast supercharged

just gotta keep asking for it, the aftermarket wants to make money but they dont wanna invest in something unless they think enough people will buy it

CT-Engineering/Comptech was the main company I knew of that made SCers for the K-series, F-series and whatever the 1st gen NSX had. Unfortunately, they closed about a year ago. I’m not sure how much a factory forced induction engine Honda provided in the current Civic and NSX might have influenced it. There was a market and good sized manufacturer... but it’s all gone.

So far as turbocharging a K20C2, so far as you aren’t maxing out you MAF signal, you’d figure the car would add fuel as needed to the limits of the stock fuel system, even w/o the ability to see manifold pressure... but I might be totally wrong. As with nearly 20 years ago... folks dumped their A3 engines which spec very similar to C2s for other options and pouring money into them was generally considered money not-well-spent.

I have a friend w/a CRZ who was thinking of SCing but was looking at a L15B7 swap after we compared cars a couple months back. As they become plentiful in salvage yards, the Fit/CRZ crowd will probably go more and more to them vice sinking $3-4K to struggle to make similar power as a base L15B7.

I can’t say as to whether an old CTE SC for the K30z3 or 7 could be adapted for a C2. With them being gone now though, I’m not sure if used ones might go for a premium amongst the 8th and 9th gen crowd.

The reason I would prefer a supercharger over a turbo is the instant boost. Since it’s belt driven it doesn’t have to wait to build. And the 2.0 raps out pretty fast. A supercharger would compliment this engine really good. Even if it only gives an extra 45% extra horsepower, which is about what a modest supercharger will do, then it would be extremely fun to drive! Especially with with my 6 speed. And I really don’t see why this engine wouldn’t handle that little amount of boost on stock internals.

all 10th gen 2.0 n/a will have the same problem boosting, the ECU cannot read positive positive manifold. There is no way currently to tune them to run correctly.

With the 1.5T everywhere. There is no point for a company to R&D a product that will have poor sales.

It looks like Jackson Racing dropped their R18 supercharger kit. Not sure why, but if I was to guess, it was a cost prohibitive mod. When I had my 2015 Civic, I looked into it, just to get the kit was about $4500, and was a fairly labor intensive job. Bottom line, it would have been cheaper to sell the car and get a used 9th gen SI, or the newer 10th gen, which is the route I went.

I recently spoke to Jackson Racing regarding a rumor of a SC kit for the NA CivicX and they said it was not anything they had planned on doing. Like @NoelPR I think the aftermarket manufacturers are hesitant to do so because if people want an forced induction 10th gen they are not hard to come by.

Edit: I actually posted that on this thread already. Oops.

Here is something to think about..... K20C2 head on a K20c1 block and trans. twin scroll turbo with quick spool valve plate (closes one scroll for quick spool, opens for big single turbo) note we got vtec on the intake, and if the type r cam fits, could use the center profile like our exhaust cam is, so exhaust would always be in vtec, and you got your backpressure from your turbo.

i looked into that a few weeks back, and it looks like the heads wont be interchangeable(you could put k20c1 valves and springs though). but one thing that is definitely a possibility is taking the full turbo set up from a type r(or accord 2.0t) and figure out tuning from there(megasquirt?). also if you wanted the stronger internals, they should be a direct swap, may want to swap for the type r oil pan as well.

Good thing I work at Honda, I’m going to buy head gaskets for both and see if they line up.
