Were You Able to Buy the Color You Initially Wanted?

When you bought your Si, were you trying to find a different color back then?

Original plan was GY30P, but from the day I saw the test panels it was Y78P or bust!

The SI's were not common, so I narrowed down two colors, gray and blue. I found one Gray sedan and it was sold. Found a blue and another Gray Sedan. Got a deal on the gray and deal confirmed to hold. Long story short, got my beautiful Gray SI:)

I originally wanted an Aegean Blue coupe, but when I saw my white coupe on the dealer lot I forgot all about wanting the blue. Funny enough, this past weekend there was a CPO Aegean Blue Si coupe in the showroom and I was actually glad I went with white after seeing one up close

I wanted white but was able to save a couple of thousand dollars by going with black.

I wanted a white sedan and had two dealers compete for my business, even though neither had one on the spot and had to trade other dealers from further away for an Si in that color.

I wanted white... even had a funny (to me) vanity plate idea that would play off the color, but the dealer had a hard time finding one. So I eventually settled for gray and they knocked off a little bit of the price.

I test drove a black Si sedan. Went back to buy it. Only when doing the paperwork the dealer mentioned.. "and you wanted black, correct? We have a white a blue sedan as well". D'oh! I liked black.. but then I saw it in white and it looked good. I didn't like the blue. Of course, after about 9 months and the hot summer later I thought "boy, white would have been nice, and maybe even cooler (temp)"... and then about 12 month later a blue one showed up in the neighborhood.. and that Blue really looked good after a year of seeing my black one.

So, while I did get the color I wanted (at the time) , I think the Sedan looks good in several colors.

I was torn between two cars and both were in stock to buy. It was down to either a Polished Metal Metallic EX hatch or a Cosmic Blue EX-L sedan. For me it boiled down not to color but visibility. I couldn't get past those huge C pillars on the hatch.

I am friends with a salesman at my local Hendrick Honda dealer and unfortunately couldn’t afford the payment on a new 2018 Si sedan at the time so I searched for a used one. I ended up not finding anything besides red or black and personally I don't Really like red paint and would obsess too much over black.
It got to the point where me and 3 of my friends were searching a 200 mile+ radius for me and another friend(he ended up finding a white 9th gen Si coupe). I randomly looked one morning a week later and found the car I ended up buying, a CPO 2017 Civic Si Coupe in WOP with right at 3k miles, at a Hendrick toyota dealer less than an hour away.
I told my salesman friend that day, we worked up some numbers and agreed it was the one. It was driven in the next day and I took possession around 8pm that night. I have been in love ever since.

I didn’t have plans to buy an SI, I was looking something more like an SUV , One night I just told my wife it would be nice to have an SI , she said what ever you want , I wanted a Sedan in Silver , called a local dealer and they had one left , went and picked it up

I was at the dealer to service my WOP 17' Civic EX-T sedan 6 speed M/T and noticed they had a red Si coupe on the lot so I asked if I could test drive it. Well I fell in love with it and asked if they had a WOP 18' Si that I would take it. I then worked out most of the new deal but they advised me it was a typo and the WOP Si was actually a coupe not a sedan. They continued to tell me they had a black on black Si sedan though that had just arrive and before I knew it they brought it out. I thought it looked sick in black. The rest is history. I love my black Si. I'm thinking of getting it wrapped in Nardo Grey soon though.
