Looks promising. Always good to have another summer tire alternative. With the Michelin, you're paying a little more for longer tread wear (280 vs 300), one more year of warranty (5 vs 6) and 3 years of flat changing.

With Michelin you're paying a lot more, 235/40R18 $226.99 (Pilot Sport 4S) versus $151.99 for the Yokohama. Treadwear is rated by each manufacturer and sometimes is underrated for marketing purpose. 280 and 300 are basically the same. 5 vs 6 year warranty, meh, once you are into year 6 your tires would be so worn out that there would be so little credit on the prorated tread depth. 3 years flat changing, I have AAA so don't have to worry about that. $300 difference for a set is not worth the little extra warranty you get. Not to knock Michelin, it's a great tire, but you're paying for the name and all their marketing.

I totally agree that they are better than the stock Continentals, but I am not that impressed with them. I opted for 245/40-18's on 18x9.5", 38mm wheels. Their traction is good during warm weather, but the sidewalls weren't as stiff as I was hoping for. I spent extra money on them as well with a little dress up from Tirestickers.com
