I know this is a touchy subject but has there been any news about turboing the 2.0?

I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would want to turbocharge the 2L instead of just buying the 1.5T in the first place. Sure, it can be done but is it worth it? No.I know this is a touchy subject but has there been any news about turboing the 2.0?
For science, and to see how far this engine can be pushed.I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would want to turbocharge the 2L instead of just buying the 1.5T in the first place. Sure, it can be done but is it worth it? No.
Gonna give it some more time.Might have to be a pioneer on this one.
I don't claim to know what parts are out there compatible with the 2.0N/A that you find in the lower trim levels but to answer the question. Because if done right there's no downside and you'd have 33% more displacement which would be pretty nice to have in my eyes. Of course the 1.5t is cheaper to get the performance out of but when you have SI guys going all out with stronger internals, bigger turbos, new IC/piping, DP/exhaust, etc... you're pretty much throwing the money at it that would be required to properly boost something else that started life as an NA platform.I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would want to turbocharge the 2L instead of just buying the 1.5T in the first place. I checked with Jackson Racing regarding this interesting comment and they denied it.Jackson Racing is getting ready to release a supercharger kit for the 2.0.
That's not a turbo charger so it doesn't directly answer your question. But...
I wanted his statement to be true tooI checked with Jackson Racing regarding this interesting comment and they denied it.
"We will not be doing a kit for the Non Turbo Civics."
Because of their wording, I followed up with a question regarding the turbocharged models. Nothing there either.
