Hit the curb while turning

Hey guys sad days for my my rim as I hit the curb pretty hard on the back passenger side. I was going 10-15mph while turning right, should I get new tires, try to fix it at shop or ignore it? First car mistakes :/

Get an alignment to see if everything is still within spec. it is possible you bent something, suspension wise.

I did pretty much what you did. Just get the alignment checked If it doesn't feel right or is wobbly. In my case there was no harm, just a scrape on the rim and a hit on my pride. That area is pretty strong, I hit the curb as well avoiding a biker that came out of nowhere, and same thing, no harm was done except cosmetic

Go to a competent tire shop and see if the damage to the tire warrants any repair or if it needs to be replaced. Best case scenario is the tire is just fine. Also get your alignment checked. And a wheel repair place should be able to fix that curb rash for a reasonable price.

Learn from it. Take wider turns for now on. It’s not that bad.

Get it fixed if you wanna dump 150$

Your center cap is off center, btw. And missing a valve stem cap.

Easily repaired for $100-150 and likely while you wait. Happens more than you think

but yeah I try not to hit curbs (nock on wood)

it doesn’t look that bad, if you can stomach looking at it I would just leave it.

I have seen much worse which lasted many thousands of miles.

As others have stated an alignment check can’t hurt and will tell you if you have any other issues besides cosmetic.

Yeah, if you don't feel anything while driving I wouldn't worry about it. And maybe compare both front tires after another couple thousand miles and see if one is wearing any differently.

Otherwise.. an accurate application of some emery paper can probably make that scuff all but disappear.

Oh if you think an Si is a lot for a first school you should come to my high school parking lot... Some kid has a Tesla model 3 as their first car!! Bay Area man.
