So I just bought some lightly used basically brand new wheels and tires off someone on Craigslist.

Myself being the idiot that I am believe they were 5x114.3 bolt pattern and 235 /40/R18

They are the right tire size but the bolt pattern is slightly off at 5x108 as I found out trying to mount them earlier. Anyone run stock tire size with a 1.25 (32mm) spacers?

Just curious to see if I will run or have any issues with rub or fit etc?

Wheels are Bremmer Kraft 18x8 with Michelin Ice X3 tire in 235/40/R18

I get the spacer/adapters tomorrow and will take some pics after the install.

Cheers

50mm (OE offset) - 32mm (spacer) = 18 mm offset. You'll be poking and may rub even on stock height. (Update: Wait, you didn't mention offset on these wheels. Just do the math again and see if the result is 25mm or less.)

What about flipping the rims on CL or OfferUp and get some proper wheels (18x8). You can re-use the tires.

I could do that but I didn’t want the hassle these are already balanced and ready to rock. I got a great deal about 50% of what the package would cost new before balancing and everything.

If these spacers/adapters don’t work that is probably what I will do. The guy listed them as 5x114.3 so it wasn’t all my fault : /

I just reached out to his because he is trying to sell another set. He had an STi before so maybe he was confused...

I don’t mind if they stick out a bit I like the look. Just don’t want them too rub to much.

plus I like how they look overall with that type of stance. Just don’t want to hinder performance.

So I installed the wheels and spacers and it went well. I have only a very slight slight rubbing when going over a steep incline or a big bump other than that it has been great.

So so nice to have snow tires back again. Really love the extra confidence as well as the ability to drive in adverse conditions as well as the extra grip on dry cold roads.

here are some pictures of the outcome

Hi, I may be running into the same problem. What brand adapters did you end up getting? Did you run into any problems later on?
