k

and you’re wrong regarding the A10 bud... but I recognize the hate
You did the right thing. You needed something with more room, more comfort etc. And the Accord Sport is comfortable, and it is more roomy. So you sacrificed some handling and an LSD. Do you track it every weekend? Do you hit curvy mountain roads every day going 60 mph? If not, you did the right thing

BTW, the 2.0T is an awesome engine, and the A10 is not a CVT, its a true Automatic Trans

The Si is fun, no doubt. The car is a great performer for its segment... but my commute has increased (along with my salary) and I wanted something larger and more comfortable.

On my ride home today, there was much less traffic (holiday) and the adaptive cruise was set at 70mph for well over 25 minutes... I didn’t touch a pedal.

it really is a nice car

I think you did great. You got to drive the Si for awhile and then move up in class with the best Accord.

This is the route I may take in the next few months. Nice pick up. What'd you get the Accord down to, if you don't mind me asking?

Luv the Accord, just too giant size for me, the Civic is a little large to me as well, but the Fit is too small.
I feel the same way, wish there was a better mid to small sized sedan or hatch. Something right in between the civic and the fit.

Congrats, I really like the current designs Honda is coming out with over the last few years. They look completely different from the cars of the early and mid 90’s other than the “H” logo on them.

The only thing they are messing up on most of there line up is the stock wheels. I mean they are just plain hideous. At least when the vehicle isn’t in motion. (I realize most car companies are doing this as well. They can’t make attractive looking wheels for the most part.) I guess thats why aftermarket business is so lucrative!)

You gave up the better handling, louder stereo, gas mileage and LSD for a bigger back seat... congrats
If you happened to get the automatic 10speed, thats a CVT btw
I can't figure out what would compel someone to make a mean-spirited post like this. Plus, it's just flat-out wrong. 10AT isn't a CVT (as others have mentioned). And the Accord isn't just a bigger back seat. For one thing, that engine is a monster. Won't beat the Si through the twisties, but in a straight line the Accord will pull away.

@OP - good deal, and good luck with the new car. Enjoy it

Gave it up for a bigger back seat, the type r engine, and one of the best true automatic transmissions in the game.

Honestly id be interested if he really is getting worse mileage considering he has 10 gears.... Because its not a cvt

I was knocking down 40mpgs in the Si on the highway (per the cars calculations). The 2.0 at 70 is low-30’s at the moment

this adaptive cruise is taking some getting used to. I find myself setting it at 70 and then lingering behind people at 55-60 without realizing it. It also tends to brake aggressively at highway speeds.

the low speed follow is pretty awesome though. 25mph and under- don’t touch a pedal in stop and go traffic

Agreed. What a douche rocket.

@Dan9908 - Does the Accord roll the windows down and open the sunroof with an unlock click followed by a long press on the keyfob?
