I just received mine and attempted to install one side with the instructions that came with.
After just installing one side, I did not bother installing the other side BECAUSE, it is a poor pre-cut.
IT DOES NOT cover the whole chrome and is noticeably short. Yes, $50 is not much in a relative since when a simple thing like this is charged for more "primarily labor". However, it would not matter if its a professional or non-professional when the vinyl part is OFF measure.

I am going to expect a refund as the product is not as advertised and displayed in sites/pics, etc...

I do recommend buying a roll or sheet of vinyl for this instead.
You can then get a professional or be patient and DIY.

I have attached pictures that show the measurements being OFF.

I find your question a big against the fundamental of a good purchase.

1) It's a purchased product that fail to meet what was advertised.
2) Also, considering I just see it start to peel yesterday; which means. Another issue arose (see attachment) from this purchase. Why pay for a product like this to begin with?
3) Lastly, why band-aid a product you paid for? It goes again to even buying a product when it doesn't work, no value or, can be considered false advertisement.

I'm requesting a refund and, just go back to stock chrome. The whole cover was mainly for cosmetic anyways and protection. However, paying for $50 on cosmetic is overpriced... If you have a GF or Wife, would you want them to be tossing $50 dollars every day for a toe to be painted or wrapped? ;) Although, I do have extra plastidip, so may consider that as an option, but not as a band-aid to this circumstance ;)

I thought about getting those before but $50 price tag was not worth it to me

I purchased a kit, and thought the same. However, gave it a shot and, no bueno. I either got a defected kit or it's just not that great even for $50. It was a bit high in general to begin with so, for this... quality... it's overpriced!

Measurements were off and started to peel within a week. Poor quality overall for the price. If it was $5-$10 it be reasonable but, not for $50.

Is using a heat gun 100% necessary when installing the chrome delete? I park my car in a garage that doesn't have any electrical outlets I can use. I'm wondering if I need to go through the trouble to take it somewhere else to install it.

Nah, not in the summertime.

Deezy is right. Matter of fact, if that vinyl gets too hot it's even harder to work with (it's very thin). In the summertime it's actually not a bad idea to do the install in the AM. I made the mistake of attempting the install one afternoon in the summer sun. Needless to say my install was a fail.

Although others love the kit, I found it fairly tricky to install especially that rear piece.

I’m looking for either a new front grille that’s easy to install or some vinyl wrap overlays for my grille. Thanks.

You should look up Jets Vinyl on Etsy. I heard they were really good about their vinyl precuts.

I went to a shop and asked for a quote on chrome delete on my coupe and they wanted to charge me $450 ? He tried to convince me that they have to take off the doors … i was like wtf and laughed. He was like well it is 3m brand so thats why. After I said no thank you he was like, I’ll do it for $350 instead… People are crazy. I’m not sure if business was slow or because of how young I look but wow! Any recommended sites y’all wanna recommend me? Let me know. Thanks!
