Hi Guys,

I am thinking of Parting out with my Civic Si. How much can I expect if I sell my 2019 Civic Si with 11,000 miles which is in excellent condition. I took proper care of it.

What would be the fair price for it ?

Check the car ads like cargurus.com, cars.com, autotrader.com, and see what others are asking for similar year/mileage as yours. 2019 with 11k miles and excellent condition - I'd guess 21k-22k.

LOL carvana is offering more than this :D
Seems like you know the answer then.

Why do you want to sell a car you just bought?

Looks to be around 21k-22k in my area as well. The cars don't hold their value as well as the Type R's but still really well imo

20,000 private sale, if you get it certified

you will get lots of low ball offers,

selling a car privately can be a big hassle

This.. Lots of flake out buyers who still need to secure financing.

While you might not get as much as waiting and selling privately, the ease/convenince of say Cargurus, or even your dealer, might be worth it to you. The 2020's are out there and I bet dealer financing is pretty easy for most buyers vs looking for a used model.

imho, Carvana tends to offer a littler more than Carmax or your dealer (buying market share).. and its reflected in their higher sales prices of used cars.

I checked with 3 dealerships in the Tacoma - Seattle area and received 19000 from all 3.
I am in California area. So, may be that's the reason

I moved very close to my workplace and I feel that I can save more by selling the car. Also, I can save insurance money

Sounds good to me. You could always buy an electric bicycle and commute with that. I bought a Stealth Bomber a few years back but unfortunately my work is just a little too far away. If I could though, OMG I would save so much in gas money :confused1:

Private Party value for your Si in Sacramento zip code is 24K. Trade in value is just 20.5K.
Basically, your car is practically brand new and you paid a pretty penny for it. The buyer you're looking for wants to save about 3K and avoid the despicable dealership. One thing I don't know is how much sales tax your buyer would have to pay, every state has different rules. I mention this because what if the buyer saves 1K or 2K in taxes buying from you? You gotta use that as a selling point.
I imagine a new 2020 Si in Sacramento costs:
25K + 2.5K taxes/title/tags = 27.5K. Let's just say 28K.
You can sell your 2019 Si for 22K, buyer would pay approx 2K in taxes/title/tags(guestimate).
Buyer saves at least 4K this way and keeps his sanity. Not bad.
The lowest I would go would be about 21K, then he saves 5K. GREAT DEAL for him!
Sell only private party, the dealers will rip you off.

For what it's worth I sold my 2019 Aegean Blue Sedan to a local Honda dealer (Portland, OR) for $21,000 - 8k miles. Carmax was also at $21,000.
