Lane watch is probably my favorite feature on this car tbh
Yes and the Si' are the only ones that retain it from what I can tell! Only car being made that has them as well. Lexus has a full 360 view feature yet STILL nothing like our lane watch cameras. Its pretty wild.

The US Type R has no Sensing since day one (2017-2019). Not sure about 2020 ā€˜cus itā€™s not out yet. Come join the fun club.
Lol loved to! You got a spare 20k to share? I'll buy one if you do ;)

All 2016-2018 Civics (except Si) had sensing available. The touring (sedan and coupe) and sport touring (hatch) models had it standard. 2019-up hatchbacks, coupes and sedans have sensing on all trims, except for the 2019 Si (2020 does have it). Type R does not have sensing on any model year. If you are looking at any used 2018's (the newest model without sensing standard), you will need to look at pics or the car in person to see if it has sensing. It will have the radar sensor in the front drivers side fog light area and the camera up by the rear view mirror.
Awesome thank you! Only person to actually give a definitive answer. So really my only options for Civics w/o the sensing are 17-18 Sport Hatchbacks, Si's and Type Rs?

No.
Any trim before 19' could be had without sensing, except for Tourings. Honda Sensing added $1000 to the price of a CVT model.

No, only touring (sedan and coupe) and sport touring (hatch) models had sensing standard, all other trims except Si had it available as an option for $1000. I don't think you will see too many with sensing but if you are looking at used ones you would just need to make sure it doesn't have sensing if you don't want it. So basically if you want a hatch without sensing, you would be looking at 17 and 18 LX, Sport, EX and EX-L. The could still have sensing but it's more likely that they won't.

So all 6MT (WON'T?) have Honda Sensing on them? Is the refresh the 2020 model year?

I think 2019 is the year it became standard. Prior to it just depends on the model. My 2018 ex hatch does not have it.

Can confirm my 2019 Civic Sport Hatchback has the sensing package. For what it's worth. The system reacts faster than my think ability to gauge a collision, but I do know it's downsides.

Is there a away to use cruise control without Honda Sensing? If so, how?

You can turn off adaptive cruise control. Just press and hold the distance button for 1 second. That will turn on standard, traditional cruise control that will not slow down and speed up automatically. All the other sensing features will still be active.

I was hoping someone could tell me which years/trims do not have Honda Sensing? I know the 17 Sport HB doesn't, main reason I got it. Don't want it and I'm looking to possibly trade in my car for another possibly newer Civic in the color I want, just need to find out which cars I should be looking at. Thanks!
That being said, Honda Sensing is not worth the $800 they charge you. It's a joke of a system. It does not have rear crosstraffic alert like CRV, it does not have blind spot detection on mirrors. It CANNOT keep you on a straight path without swirving. And its forward collission works only when it wants to and doesn't do much to mitigate a collission.

Couldnā€™t disagree more. On a reasonably well marked road, my Civic will drive itself.

I was skeptical prior to purchasing the Sensing package on my ā€˜16. I had a conversation with a buddy who has an Outback who convinced me to do it. Now, Iā€™ll never buy a new car without Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist.

I really miss it when driving a car without it.

As a matter of fact youā€™ll see this technology on all cars by 2022. IMHO, that makes roads safer for all of us.

Prior to 2019, 6MT = No Honda Sensing (Except the Sport Touring Hatch)
2019: Si and Type R do not have it
2020: Type R only.
I personally like the adaptive cruise control. The rest, I haven't used much. Still LOVE the Sport Touring 6MT after 57 000km: purrs like brand new, as it should be. (The old 2012 Mazda5 already had to have a brake job and 2-3 dealer visits for issues under warranty, even at that low mileage...)
