Sport Hatch 6Mt

i recently just got rid of my 2016 LSM EX-t sedan, and was really looking to get into a sport HB with the manual gear box. I preferred Sonic Grey Pearl, but the local dealership said " thats like finding a needle in a haystack."

So is the sport hatch with the 6MT that uncommon? Im from deep south Texas, and i searched the state, and i found one "close" to me in the Houston area. thats a 5-6 drive one way.

i ended up getting the sport hatch with the CVT in LSM( the only color they had)

IMHO is just about being patient. Keep in mind that stock is a little low due to the mid model refresh. If you were able to wait a few months, you probably could have found a 2020 at a reasonable price.

My lease was up in November, and the local dealership made a good offer i couldnt turn down.

My future concern will be for when i get rid of this car in about 18 months. Im pretty set on getting sonic grey, and getting manual transmission. Ive never seen a civic down here for sale with 6MT, until this MY, and it was a lx sedan.Unless i can get the sonic grey paint code, and paint a SI that color lol

Best of luck! If there were more people like you around then manuals may not be so hard to find these days

They are a little uncommon, but that color is also very specific. Not too many dealers have the color and trim H/B. If im not mistaken you may be able to have one shipped to a dealer near you if you're really interested.

Looking for same exact car... I've been searching on Autotrader and currently there's only 6 (I think) for sale in the US... I'm specifically looking for 17s only so there's only 2 of those, 1 in ID and 1 in PA.

The Sport Hatch 6MT seems to be a unicorn. When I was looking to buy my Sport Hatch 6MT there was none in immediate area even with several dealerships (Salt Lake Valley). The two I could find that were closest were in Southern Utah or Nampa Idaho, both being about 4-5 hours away from my location. The stealership in Southern Utah didn't want to deal, so I ended up going to the dealership in Idaho because they were very easy to work with on a deal. I didn't care what color it was since I was going to get it vinyl wrapped anyways. The one I got was White Orchid Pearl and the one in Southern Utah was Polished Metal Metallic.

My dealer had to get my hatch from about 80mi away. They actually had a 6MT in one of the gray colors but I was set on black lol

The 2 local dealerships down here checked on that HB 6 hrs away, the one that could get it shipped down didnt want to budge on the monthly payment price, staying "at best case scenario" at 320. the car i ended up getting, im paying 285. I even contacted the dealership which had the car, and they had the price 8 dollars cheaper, 277, but wanted 3000 down.

So for the price i think i picked the right deal, they also made my first month payment. But again, ideally i wanted another color and really wanted a 6MT. I had no idea it was that uncommon of a car, and i guess rare in that color.

For what its worth, i love the look of this car, its gonna get time getting used to the downgrade in the interiors accessories, i dont think ill get used to having to use a key for awhile lol

But i did tell the salesman, and manager if theyre able to get a 2020 HB 6MT, and we can get a deal in the same price, im game. So fingers crossed on that.

Just move to Canada. We got lots of HB's with the 6MT. Our Sport trim comes with the better infotainment, smart keys, and a moon roof too!

I'm in Georgia and all I can find near me are the sonic grey pearl ones; I would much prefer black out of the three color choices. My local dealership said they had one on the lot until I showed up, then they said there are only 10 in the whole country, but said they would have no issue finding a black one last Friday. They located one, we negotiated a price/trade-in/down payment/etc. and they had me put a deposit down (only a few hundred) so that they could have it transported down by Monday... well I guess that fell through for them because they called me and asked if I wanted it in sonic grey pearl, so I went back to the dealership and they assured me they had located another one.

Well I'm having my doubts they were able to find one as it's Thursday but I've waited this many years for a standard, I can wait a while longer if need be.

Manual 1.5T hatches are rarer than the CTR and allocated by Honda randomly at its leisure and there’s usually a long waitlist at each dealer. Just grab any color when one becomes available or put yourself on several waitlists.
