Ktuner answered to me.

- We don’t change anything under 1500 RPM. As I mentioned in the thread, if you find a quick adjustment combination that makes that section too aggressive, dial it back. -

Now, has anyone tested a raw starter21 without touching any adjustment? If I remember correctly I tested it and still happend.

I know that:

- Happens with TSP stage1
- Happens with starter21 without pedal adjustments and without revhang disable.

With ktuner stage 2, no problem.

It's a shame because, removed this problem, ktuner starter 21 with adjustements is a bomb.

KTuner help us please!

Tonight i noticed that these stuttering are more frequent with the cool engine. With the hot engine, these stuttering are less present.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes, when the engine is hot is smoother but still present and when the engine is cold it is more reproducible.

I didn't tested it for stutter but yes. That souldn't cause stutter.

Sorry kytos, i don't understand.

Think you that this problem is present also also with "factori maf w/scaled top end calibration"?

I mean I tested the new MAF calibration, I was not looking for the stutter but for better air fuel ratios at WOT. That MAF calibration souldn't cause or fix the stutter because it doesn't change anything at low rpm (low air flow), and yes I experienced the stutter with the "factory maf w/scaled top end calibration"

Thanks kytos, now I understand.
We can only hope in a solution from KTuner.

The problem is we don't know what is causing this and @KTuner believe it's some quick adjustment being too agressive (which i doubt it is). I need to do more testing myself before reporting to ktuner and hope there is a solution.

If you can figure out what the combination is that is causing it I can take a deeper look. Unfortunately since there are multiple settings controlling the multiple ways the ECU controls things, if a combo alters it in a way you don't like you will have to alter your settings to something that you're ok with.

I found some time to check on Kyto's logs. Check that it's not only TPS.CMD that varies. It is also knock retard (KControl is steady 0.49) which goes from 0 (normal at this amount of load) up to -7 and actual timing (IGN) varies from 0 to 14 degrees.
TPS is steady, TC Target is steady.
If it helps at all, building a custom map based on the "factory base calibration" seems to work a lot better even if you copy the boost tables from the starter21 "as is". Anything built from the "starter 21" will stutter.

@KTuner hope this observation helps (in any way …)

Just curious here. On my US car, I haven't experienced this stutter. I've used the Starter 21 with many different quick adjustment combos. No low speed stutter. I don't get the stutter on the TSP tune either. What's the difference in the US versus Euro setup?

I get stutter on both TSP Stage 1 and Ktuner 21 PSI. The Canadian setup might be different than the US one too. I haven't really looked into it at this point, but now I'm becoming more curious.
