I’m looking to replace the remaining bulbs in the car with LEDs. I see Phillips Ultinon and Sylvania Zevo both offer LEDs. Anyone here tried one or the other? Any issues with fast blinking or anything?

If it’s a little brighter that’s cool but I’m not looking to blind anyone. I’m more concerned about how quickly they illuminate versus halogens.

I have used both. And I have both on different cars. The Phillips ultinon is the best product available seriously. The bulbs is built amazingly well and is super bright for the 194 bulb type.

Did you use them for the rear turn signal on the R? If so did you have hyper flash?

Yes I just tried them last night in the turn signal and got the hyperflash. Now they make a load resistor to fix it but it states "these run very hot up to 285° and require being attached to a flat metal panel to help with heat". I just ordered the other set for my brake light but now I'm on the fence for them at all in brake/turn signal due to that warning. Any one else actually use the Sylvania Load Resistors?

There some plug and play resistors I’ve seen some others use or you could get some signal bulbs that have the resistor built in.

I’m curious about the brake lights and if they’re brighter than OEM halogen?

If you want some bright brake lights go here : https://typerleds.com/

I replaced all my bulbs with them and couldn't be happier. The reverse brake lights are unreal.

I have the Philips Ultinon bulbs. They’re perfect for the JDM clear side markers

They are extremely bright at night! The bulbs themselves are definitely brighter than the factory bulbs, I'm pretty sure if they would be brighter than the original bulbs in the factory orange side markers. In my clear JDM lights they absolutely GLOW!! I'm super happy with them.

Same here. I just installed a set of Sylvania Zevo for the reverse lights on my Stinger. Made a pretty big difference over the halogen bulbs. Didn't even know about the Ultinon ones.
