I’m kinda looking for sound though, I’d love to hear some of the Recirc valve but don’t want to do BOV due to fouling of catalytic converter of unburnt fuel. What about the K&N typhoon 69-1504TR I see they only list it for 2017 SI, why not 2018? Also anyone install this and have any feedback?
Shot you a PM. I wouldn’t run K&N personally, but anything that fits 17 will fit the 18. They are the exact same car. No changes were made.

The K&N kit definitely results in a minor gain in performance. I haven't seen any mpg gain, and actually a loss on average since it tends to encourage more aggressive driving. Did get 44mpg on a long trip with a fresh tank and consistent speed. The sound though is very much improved. Very clean growl.

My engine is the 2.0, so most likely not a factor on 1.5t motors.

OP you are the best candidate for a k&n drop in and the PRL intake hose.

I hope you don’t waste your money on the junk k&n intake. You keep bringing it up tho. So I’m sure you already made your mind up

Nope, have not ordered anything yet, looking into the Won27 now, CAI performance without the worry of hydrolock, thoughts?

Oops, I didn't know we were referencing Si intakes, sorry about that. Yes, the link I shared is for the EX-T 1.5T. That link is the cheapest I've found. Does anyone know of anywhere cheaper?

That's the main principle design behind it. It's the benefits of a CAI with the worry free of an SRI. Best of both worlds was our aim.

Wait, so if we have a CAI (ex. PRL cobra race maf), is a drop-in air filter (e.g. K&N) unnecessary? In otherwords, is there no benefit to having both a CAI and aftermarket drop-in air filter?

A Cobra Race Maf is not a CAI (Cold Air Intake). Don't confuse the two. The Cobra Race Maf is just a maf sensor housing (tubing) that is a larger diameter than stock. That's it! I am using it on my 1.5T and have been making an SRI (Short Ram Intake) as well as a CAI (Cold Air Intake) out of it for testing. You can't just install a Race maf and everything is ok. You need to upload a new maf calibration file so your ECU knows the diameter of the tubing the maf sensor is sitting in (The Race Maf). An SRI typically has the filter connected to the maf sensor and is drawing in air from the engine bay. **Typically** A CAI has the filter located somewhere to draw in cool air, not engine bay air.

If you have a drop in air filter AND you had the box the drop in air filter is sitting in routed somewhere to draw in cool air, then YES there is a benefit to this. Your stock air box usually already have this setup. There are always ways to improve this though. For you, I'd say just keep it stock or just use a drop in air filter. You'll get a better understanding of all this as time goes on. ;)

I looked for the AFE after using one in my 9th gen, but couldn't find it for my current [LX]. I got the AEM and enjoy not having to buy the filters over and over. I clean it often so it's just a thorough rinse and dry.

I looked for the AFE after using one in my 9th gen, but couldn't find it for my current [LX]. I got the AEM and enjoy not having to buy the filters over and over. I clean it often so it's just a thorough rinse and dry.
I got bored with the aFe and went back to OEM Honda... but now I actually just ordered the HKS Super filter to try it out. I don’t see many people (anyone, really) using it so I thought I’d check it out
