Had an idea for a bodywork product, one that I think a lot of us out there can relate to/would be interested in...

First off, just got done with install on the Procivic grille and it looks the business!

But unfortunately while my Si didn't have it before, it now has the dreaded grill gap. :bat:

Of course one of the tabs busted too so I am SOL in that area. A little bummed that the plastic is so fragile on both OEM and aftermarket! As I was considering shoving some black silicone caulk in there (Hey, if it's good enough for RWB to put on bespoke 911's...) I had a different idea...

What about a trim piece kinda like the HFP trim pieces, only covering up and over the area where the tabs would show?

Something like this, but up and over the trouble area for grill separation. Could be type R red, carbon fiber, gloss black, anything really, just so long as it hides the separation that so many people even without aftermarket grilles are having.

You could even take it one step further and cover over the "eyebrow" transitions and cover the sometimes wonky gaps there!

Hey everyone following this thread, I'd like to let you guys know about an awesome write-up a forum member recently did regarding the root cause of this gap issue, as well as two great fixes for it.

Please see https://www.civicx.com/threads/front-grille-coming-apart.3495/page-20#post-625234

The diagrams and pictures he provided are especially useful for understanding why the factory bumper & grille tend to produce this gap.

Well I’m new to this forum but I did find a solution the the grill gap. All I did was put 2 black screws with a nut lock and pretty much did it not the best but it does beat that ugly grill gap. First pic was before I did it rest of the pics are after it’s done
