washers to hold up the boot?
The washer is to fill up the hollow space for some vehicles reverse lockout.(this knob is designed for the wrx/Sti). Without the washer, you can’t re-attach the shift boot. The beatrush knob is like the one shown below, there’s beatrush type c which is flat bottom I believe, with 10x1.5 thread size. I ordered the type c initially but it went back ordered so I ended up getting this.

I just ordered this but got the shift boot too so it was pretty damn expensive like over $115. I think if you PM the guy on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/dreaminteriord/) you can get JUST the cool "Si" part for like $40 - $50.
