Yeah everyone who has a kit is on V1..updated kits have not shipped yet...Ive ordered the wastegate upgrade myself for this kit and believe the OP is doing the same! Gonna be a game changer with these kits super excited!

Very cool. I'll have to check out how it works... as I'm pretty ignorant on how it's accomplished. :thumbsup:

I did see one company say CTRs floated around 7300, as memory serves. Barely above redline. Anyone see how much headroom our valvetrain has? I miss the 8100 to 8600 headroom A2s had, since they shared the same valvetrain as that era's R.

Really... a high revving L15B7 sounds amazing.
The bored stroke ratio is pretty garbage on the l15b7. High revving would be nice but even with valvetrain, those pistons will be working real hard moving up and down

Update. New motor is going in. Finaly got around to looking at the turbo and it survived!

How much does it cost to close the waterway in the middle cylinder?
That's how I'm guessing the cylinder support system is setup. As of exact cost for that one thing. I'm not sure. The complete short block fully assembled with all the goodies was acquired for under 4k.

Just my observation. Looks like you had some detonation leading up to this (possible the head was starting to lift between the cylinders or the head gasket was starting to fail as well. But it definitely had some unaccounted for real knock occur at some point. The highlighted speckling on the valves are really tiny pieces of molten aluminum. Carbon tracing between the cylinders.

Not surprized there. I was still on the stock plug gap. Tho I never actually had a registered misfire. And there were more then a couple of times during my R&D phase, with the meth kit, where knock control shot straight up. One situation being.. inconsistent pressure from the meth system, when I had the pump above the tank. Another one that comes to mind is a day where I though the meth was on and I floored it from a stop.

Is it just me or does it also look like.. as you go down the cylinder row it's looks as if it's going leaner and you can see more of the aluminum deposits.

Farther down you go less meth making it down there :hmm:
