Sure sure. That I know. The issue is that if someone wants the whole red theme, that can't be achieved without changing out the whole console. That screen theme is not accessible unless HondaHack gets a lot more capable.

Although, I am pretty sure the temp and fuel are LCD in behind those slits.
Honda Hack will not be able to control the Instrument panel's hard coded microprocessor to do any changes to the operation of color scheme of the Instrument panel.

The temperature and fuel are actually mechanical meters using stepper motors ( very well done to match the LCD graphics !!)

They actually step to max to reference the needle position, and then come back to the correct position when you turn on the ignition.
What is interesting, is that Honda also make the LCD display of RPM do the same thing, even though it is just a video graphic and does not need to "Mechanically calibrate), so that everything matches, and give the impression that it is all one integrated display. ( also looks COOL when it starts up and does that !!)

which may be why they continue to use it for as long as they can, and it is "adequate" to meet their needs, rather than getting a whole custom new unit designed, with more modern, faster electronics and software. -- but they are going to have to do a major update soon... the unit, as we all know, is a dinosaur, and certainly will not be acceptable into the 2020's.
Bigtime. No consistent or no updates whatsoever. No upgrade path for those that want say wireless AA or CP and clearly the slowest damned processor and allotment of RAM for an Android powered device in a long time, short of something from AliExpress! LOL!

I generally like the infotainment system in the car but it is going to be wickedly out of date and fast. I don't know why any car company ever thinks that a totally computerized thing can EVER be slower than physical switches and interfaces. It MUST at least match the speed and responsiveness at all times. Using it compared to knobs and dials is like that scene in Austin Powers where he is trying to watch Basil Exposition on the laptop with AOL video or whatever it was. Yet in the past, the tele in his car was smooth and crisp.

Well wow! That is one hell of a trick as it looks insanely close to being just a narrow bar of LCD screen!

Why do you think fuel and temp are Screens? They are clearly a traditional mechanical dial with the dial being made of acrylic and illuminated with an LED.

Because they are uncannily like LCD. Also, some reviewers have stated that they are actually LCD. They also move insanely fast up and down on startup for them to not be LCD. I am definitely able to accept if they are not LCD but like I said... If they are, great, if they aren't doesn't matter as they still look great.
