When I am listening to Sirius XM for a while, I will switch stations on my favorites list, and attempt to skip back to see what was playing. Even though I had been driving for 30 minutes or any length of time, sometimes I can't skip back more than a minute. I can skip back as far as the 30 minutes on the current station, switch stations, only be able to skip back a minute, switch back to the original station and only be able to skip back a minute.

This is really annoying. I'm not sure if this is a car issue, or a satellite issue.

Has anyone had this problem? I go for an oil change soon, should I mention this?

I think I have seen this one time. I'm not sure what caused. Are you using the preset icons to switch stations, not the Channel Up and Down icons? Also, was there are time when you got No Signal message?

I have this a lot, where I can go back further on some stations than on others (and not just further back on the one I had been listening to), and also not being able to go back as long as I've been driving. E.g. driving for 10 minutes but can only go back 2 minutes on a station.

It's annoying and I wonder if the newer firmware versions may have fixed it, but haven't tried investigating. If you ask your service department and they manage to fix it, I'd love to hear about it.

This is switching presets. I did not lose signal, though I sometimes do due to mountains, but it usually let's me skip back as far as I've been driving.

I know this is an old thread, but did you get any resolution? I am just now experiencing this. I've driven my car for 3 years now and have not had this happen until this past weekend, and now it seems it's every time I get in the car. If I switch presets, I can no longer go back as long as I've been driving, but only about 2 minutes instead.

Did you bring your car to the dealer recently? Maybe they updated the software without you knowing?
