Hey all,

I removed my seats to install an amp under my passenger seat and a JL Audio FiX 86 under my drivers seat, I had made sure to remove the battery for 30+ mins before doing so, now when the battery is reconnected it's thrown an airbag light and SRS System Check on the cluster.
Anybody had this issue before, is it just a matter of getting an ODB2 reader and clearing all codes or am I going to have to go to the dealer (which I'm dreading)

double check and confirm you reconnected all the harness's (specifically any YELLOW ones) fully, it's not uncommon for people to miss a harness when reconnecting things.

Thanks man, I’ve triple checked both airbag harnesses under the seats and even reseated the connectors, still a no go
Any other possible ideas?

next thing to try would be disconnect the battery overnight instead of just 20-30 minutes.

Tried the battery disconnect overnight, still remembered the code unfortunately :(
Hoping a mechanic with a good OBD2 reader can clear it. My WiFi OBD2 reader & crappy app isn't doing much. I seen online they might be able to clear it.

It might need to recalibrate the passenger seat weight sensor. So no amount of time will let the SRS “forget”. You’ll need to take it to the dealer if this is the case and they’ll have to recalibrate the sensor.

Thanks guys, I've booked into the dealer tomorrow to get it reset. Hopefully it's nothing more sinister than a re-calibrate!

Hey guys, sorry I haven’t replied earlier.
Ended up going to the dealer and it came down to an Airbag plug I didn’t connect firmly enough under the passenger seat. I swear I checked it twice but I mustn’t of put enough force on it to click it in all the way. Dealer didn’t charge me and I knew the techs had a listen to the sound system because the source had changed on the stereo to Bluetooth from CarPlay
