Yes, Boost By Gear settings. I mostly use my right foot though.

Advanced VSA is also available and has 3 settings.
I "assume" it's the same with his car (Type R), but I'm not as familiar with the FK8 setup.

And I agree with you that your right foot is the best way to modulate things.

Sometimes it's not the heat, it's the humidity...

Driving to work early this morning with 60 degree temps and relatively low humidity, my car was a beast.

Coming home though, the temps were the same but the humidity was sky high...

And instead of feeling like a beast, my car barely felt like it had stock power. Very high humidity definitely zaps quite a bit of power from our turbos.

I'm pretty happy with 0-60 in 5.7 seconds. I've had higher boost. Not worth the risk IMO.
What mods get you 5.7? With just ktuner, what were you getting? I'm thinking of getting one.

Just Ktuner with an aggressively set up 21 psi tune with a stage 1 type intake on a nice cool day. 93 octane US is a must.

No video. As far as having Model 3 acceleration, that car (even in it's base form) would beat me to 60. The fastest version of the Model 3 has been clocked at something like 3.5 seconds.

No no, i was saying the base version which is supposed to have 5,6s :) If you can record a video it would be nice.

Awesome.

A question to anyone with the KTuner. Does your tune get stored on the car so that I don’t have to connect the tuner to the car every time I start the car? Or do I have to add the tune every time?

And for people with 2.0, does it need to be plugged in at all times or can I set it and leave the tuner disconnected? I personally don’t need to see the LCD screen. I just want to get my tune working and put the tuner in my trunk in case I want to switch to factory settings in the future.

Whether it's the 1.5T or the 2.0, the tune is flashed directly to the ECU from the OBD-II port. Once the tune is uploaded, you can remove the KTuner.

Got it. To make sure I understand, you mean whether it's KTuner 1.2 or 2.0, I can remove the Ktuner from the OBD afterwards and it'll save the tune on the ECU? That's what I'm looking for so that's awesome to hear. I'll think a little more about 1.2 vs 2.0. I only have a desktop computer so might be a bit of a pain to use 1.2 on my car.

Correct on removing the KTuner from the OBDII port. It reprograms your ECU but is no longer needed to be plugged in unless you want to monitor things like fuel trims.

But, if you only have a desktop, you have to use the more expensive V2. With the KTuner V1.2, you need to upload from a laptop in the car. With the V2, no laptop is ever needed.

With the V1.2, you need a laptop to lock the unit to the ECU in the car. After that, you can load the tunes to the unit with a desktop and you can upload the tunes to the ECU using the Tunerview app on your phone (Android only). That's what I did before I got the V2.

Good point on Tunerview. I forgot about that. Unfortunately, I've had no luck keeping Tunerview connected and gave up using it.

Don't you need the tuner connected to hot swap between the three loaded tunes? I've never disconnected my device, thinking this was the truth. I believe it will still use the #1 slot, if not there.
