Modified magnaflow exhaust system

New thread, so i don't clutter up the exhaust experience thread.

Decided it's time to make some upgrades, and modifying the system i already have is the cheapest way to go.
Here's a 3" flange laid over top of the front connection on the mf exhaust.

Purchased the prl mid pipe, and a mating flange.

Had it welded to a 2.5-3" transition piece sourced from vibrant.

You can see in the carbon the size difference.
Ran about a week with the 3" mid installed.

Headed to the welder.

I wish I could weld.. would save me sooooo much time.

New muffler. Had matching v band rings, sourced from magnaflow, welded on, so it fits as it should.
Plenty of clearance. Should also note, it's not low enough to effect ground clearance.

You added a matched flange and a center muffler to the stock exhaust? Did you change the rear? Just making sure I understand.

Modifications were made to the magnaflow exhaust system, I'm trying to hide the drone, and open up a little bit of flow at the same time.

Magnaflows coupler is really small like the factory exhaust. And my mid pipe is 3 inch.

I'm only in about $300 so far modifying this thing, so I'm far ahead of buying another whole system.

Very nice job! Great transition.....going to do the same thing to mine. I have a RV6 3" front pipe mated to the factory exhaust and I want to smoothly transition as you did. Great work and this has to be worth some power.

The tapered piece is from vibrant, it's #2630.
The flange is from prl, it's prl-st-108.

Added this resonator from vibrant, hoping to kill the drone. While it helps a good bit, it still drones pretty bad. Ive got 1 more thing i want to try, and I'm throwing in the towel.
