When will Honda start orders for the 2016 Civic? The model year changeover should be coming soon no?

Model year changeover usually in Summer - Fall.

I would assume orders should start after the official production ready reveal of the sedan and coupe which most are hoping is in September.

The configurator for the Honda HR-V to "build your own" isn't even live on Honda's website as of today and that goes on sale in two days, May 15. I'm not sure if you can order one from a dealer yet, though.

I hope it's early Fall then so we're not taking delivery of cars in the dead of winter.

Always seems to happen, even with sports cars. Most companies just start the new model switch over in the Fall and by the time they hit the dealers it's late Fall or winter. Seems like bad timing but seems to be common

I was hoping sooner. Sept seems sooo far away but then again we could get more info on the new Focus RS just for some comparison.

I want a take of everyone's opinion if I may... I make 16.50 at my job, work full time blah blah blah. Should I finance and si or lease-to-buy a type r?

Do you want my professional opinion or my wish i was still 21 opinion? Professional.....keep whatever you have, save up, buy a house, then worry about a car. Way better investment for your money.

Other side opinion - get the cool car, life's too short to drive a boring car, and if you do don't lease. You're just throwing your money at the manufacturer and the car isn't even yours. Never lease unless it's for your own business or you just blow through cars every three years anyways.

Anyways I'm still waiting to see engine options for the Si. Not even going to try and attempt to get a Type R. Dealer mark-ups will be ridiculous and I'm guessing it'll start at around $35k.

I was at a Honda dealer yesterday checking out the new Fit. There were a few HR-Vs on the lot. Dealer had them marked up like $5k from MSRP. They are nice cars, but really just a lifted Fit with 10 more HP and an AWD option.

You were at a crappy dealer. Most everyone buying the HR-V (on the HR-V forum) is paying MSRP.

I'm shocked how quickly it has caught on. I've already seen 2 HR-V's in my area (we have the largest honda dealership in the midwest just up the street from my house). Usually it takes a while to see new cars (i still don't see that many 2014/15 civic coupes around) but the HRV must really be wowing people.

My dealer received 10 last Friday morning. I stopped around 7:30 pm, they had already sold 5. Of the 5 still on the lot, 3 of them were being looked at/test driven.

I was also shocked.

you don't say! haha I was out and about without the wife and kids and had a chance to check out some new models. Plus they'd be willing to give me what I owe on my STI for a trade which is great for when your trying to buy a house and lower debt/income ratio.

My wife does want an HR-V but when she saw the AWD model was more than what we paid for her Forester and has less HP and less space she has decided to keep we are keeping the Foz.
