I was ready to pull the trigger on a ktuner v2 but my parents didn't allow me since they're afraid it might void the warranty (I don't mind they're paying for the car anyways) so I'll get that once I hit 36k/3 years. I'm restricted to cosmetic mods or mods that don't do much, I was thinking of getting d2 lowering springs and maybe new tires? Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks!

D2 lowering springs provide an aggressive drop but you will rub for sure. Perhaps consider Eibach, Swift, or the other few GOOD springs available for our car. You don't want to rub on stock wheels, that'll mean youll rub on the wider aftermarket wheels. Especially if you have anybody else riding in the car, the D2 springs will sag.

I do plan to get aftermarket wheels but I'm probably going to get the same size. if I do get good lower springs I won't have an issue with rubbing correct?

Vinyl overlays. Protect your fogs and give em a little style. JDM yellow is a popular option. I went with amber. I've seen pink, blue, red, smoked, neochrome... Many options

You can do your headlights and taillights too, just be aware, light output will be affected and it could affect your safety if you don't get adequate lights afterwards

Yes you are making a wise decision. The lowering springs and tires not only give the car more aggressive looks, but also improve the handling by a lot.

Get the eibach pro kit and a good set of summernperformance tires like Michelin PS 4S or FS Indyhawk 500 tires.

And your parents are right, modding the ECU will definitely void the warranty.
