Hey guys. I'm in the market for another exhaust. I wanted something that is close to stock in terms of noise but offered a bit more performance. Which is how I ended up here in this thread.

Any idea how many decibels this exhaust is? I need it quiet because I run my car on the track at laguna seca and the decibel limit is sometimes as low as 90 db.

I know a few of you guys have said that its quiet but I also believe that most of you are not running it with a catless dp / fp combo. For those of you who are running catless, is it loud? Anyone local to me that i can listen to? haha.
i don't know the decible rating but no aftermarket catless exhaust is gonna pass the laguna seca db rating imo. You either have to make "laguna pipes" or let off at that section. Maybe if you disconnect the line to the valve it might be ok.

the exhaust is quiet under normal driving condition but under WOT, it is still going to make noise because it essentially bypasses the muffler with the valve open.

Got it. Thanks!

I think i might have to look into another option then. My boostlogic exhaust was boost actuated too and it definitely didn't pass.

yeah... i'm sure you already know but i dont think you really have any choices for an exhaust at laguna except for a stock exhaust especially with a catless lol.

Caught more upgrade fever after listening to Boosted187’s CTR Sequence w/intake... viewing CTR intake clips on youtube just made it worse,

Ordered an Eventuri from Jacob@ Vividracing to pair with the Sequence exhaust..

Hopefully will get around to installing this week. So the sound will likely be different when you get a chance to check it out.

That would be awesome to meet up with both of you guys. I'm stock except a mishi intake. I'm in Culver City so maybe south bay somewhere might be a good meeting point?

Haha thanks guys. I was debating between the sequence, remus, and fujitsubo. Ended up with going with the Fujitsubo as I heard that was the quietest.

side note: Josh. Are you part of the nor cal type r group on facebook? If not, join up! Hope to see you around!

Here’s a cool story...

So the house next door was renovated and sold earlier this year. Owners have turned in into an air bnb, so we have people and families checking in and out all the time it seems.

Well..last week, I pull my car in the driveway after a long day at work.

There are about 6 people that arrive and are taking their things in next door. I acknowledge them and ask where they are from. Colorado they reply.

I go into the house then come back out and notice (4) of them are hanging out on the sidewalk between our houses and they ask about the Type R...saying it is one of their dream cars and a couple of them start snapping photos or video with their phones...which a little embarrassing because my daily driver was badly in need of a wash. 3 weeks worth of dirt on Championship White definitely isn’t a good look.. but they didn’t care.

Apparently there aren’t many Type R’s in Colorado like here in SoCal... and this is the first one they’ve seen in person.

As we are talking, one notices the exhaust isn’t stock, which I thought was pretty cool.

Told them it was Joe’s Sequence Titanium, called up page 39 of this thread and showed them the awesome exhaust photo Bouford posted, which they found insane ....then took them for a short ride around town so they could experience the car and exhaust note. They were were impressed with the Type R and the Sequence, which I found amusing knowing there is an entirely different level out there after seeing the mods on Boosted187’s car. I’m just a newb lol

From a recent foray under the car. Titanium pipes changing color. Exhaust note seems to be getting a little louder and deeper as time passes. Have it paired with an Eventuri intake. Sounds really good.

I was wondering those that have the exhaust. Is the slip on tubes leaking exhaust fumes or is it pretty tight. I asked because slip on usually Leak after a while.

Hello flixman,
Have had one for several months. Was installed by a local shop.

Honda Civic 10th gen Sequence Manufacturing Titanium Exhaust CFD56E77-E4EC-453E-B976-FD9462022AF0

Inspected a few weeks back and found evidence of leaks at all (3) slip joints. Was able to tighten each joint (1) flat on each holding clamp. Probably needed to be re-tightened anyway after the initial install and heating and cooling.

Will inspect again soon to see if that took care of them :)

i installed it myself and no issues on mine.

i don't see a reason to get bigger clamps.
:agree: and my18 sees plenty of lateral loading from autox use.
perhaps my hasport 82a rear motor mount is the key. it's pretty crazy the amount of motor movement with oem rmm :hmm:
