Did it feel quicker as in more g's or better response? Was it harder to drive because it revs quicker? Thanks.
I didn't check the skid pad to confirm but I drove it in sport mode. It's not very huge difference. The gear shifter felt same for me and yes the RPM is little higher @ certain speed than 2019

No 2020 Civic Si for me. I found a new MX-5 Miata RF Grand Touring GT-S in the extra-cost Soul Red Crystal Metallic. For those who aren't familiar: RF stands for "retractable fastback" (power hard top - as opposed to a manual soft top), Grand Touring is the top trim level, and GT-S is a performance and handling package that includes a limited slip differential, Bilstein dampers, stiffer springs, front strut tower brace, and a black roof. It's 3.5 hours away and I plan to pick it up Saturday if I can find a ride.

I've gotta admit if I didnt love my Si so much, I would be in a 2019 Miata right now. Please come back here after you've spent some time in it and give us a review/comparsion.

Hey! You picked that up in Henderson didn't you? I saw it come up online and was going to look at it the next day but then it was gone haha! Good buy man. What did you pay for it so I know what to compare it too!

The dealership told me they didn’t even have any sedans. I test drove a coupe and didn’t plan on even buying a car and then we made a deal and magically the white sedan appeared on the lot lol

Yes the final gear being lowered can change the performance drastically. Lowering the final gear is the easiest way to get faster acceleration. People have been doing this trick for a long time. It just depends how low they go. I remember my truck when I test drove one with a 3.08 highway gear and it was slow in acceleration. But I got the 3.73 instead and it was the same engine and transmission, but it was night and day difference. Just like my buddy that installed a 3.73 gear in his 95 Camaro Z-28. It was a monster after that. So this small change they did to the Si could make a very big difference, depending on how low they go. I’m sure it’s not much since they are stating the mpg decreased by 2 on average. But it will definitely be noticeable in performance
Jeff here, I'm new to the forum getting ready to buy a 2020 si coupe and have a question I hope someone here can answer.
The Honda site shows two different 'final drive ratios' on the coupe and sedan.
I'd like the lower final drive ratio in the si for 2020. Do I have to buy the sedan to get it?

That's an error. The FDR on both the 2020 sedan and coupe is 4.35:1.

I learned stick on a miata RF. And also can compare to the soft top. Hard top is quieter with the top up, soft top is quieter with the top down. I do admit to liking the back of the hard top. It has a "more expensive" sports car look to it.

That’s got to be an error. It’s still showing the old final gear ratio. The final in the sedan and coupe have both been lowered to 4.35 for 2020

After to speaking with one of my trusted sales people, it would be around 5k out of pocket to swap my newly acquired 2019 for a 2020  I could do it.. It would be a foolish financial choice though. Maybe I'll just grab those new rims and call it a day

Yea man I came to that conclusion too. The ends don't justify the means. I'm still a little pissed I specifically went over this the salesman right before signing the papers. Only to see the press release two weeks later. He ghosted me after I called him out on it lol
The rims aren't a huge deal.. I can always grab a set of them or aftermarket ones. The LEDs, sensing safety technology, engine sound technology, revised front seats and gearing are a big deal $$$ though. Way too expensive to retro.
