I think several vertical metal supports are needed to increase the rigidity from the top of the grill to the bottom, it's gonna be a flimsy mess without those supports.

I understand the J's racing grille _looks_ good, but for a grand this not the quality the community should tolerate. Terrible fitment, requires cutting, flimsy... It's not even carbon fiber.

I know this is your argument, but at that point you're defeating the purpose (aesthetically) of the grille and might as well have left the big center support alone.
I don't think the grill can be installed without removing the big center support. I believe that the lower part of the grill is way too deep, and the big center support is probably in its way.

Even my plain-Jane $78 ebay grill (shown below) doesn't have fitment issues. The pro studio grill is a good choice; haven't heard anyone with fitment issues.

One of my buddies installed the procivic grill, epoxy was used to keep the grill stays in place or else it will keep popping out.

:( That's discouraging. Isn't that a permanent fix? Meaning you can't remove the bumper again after the epoxy fix?

That's how he did it, but you can do the heating trick to bend the tabs down.
That's the reason that I'm keeping my oem black grill, and even so I have to do the heating tabs trick to keep it from popping out.

I decided to get off my ass and install it. More details provided later

Can't wait to see what you did there to have the grill installed.

So you cut the middle support?
Correct. I used my Dremel and cut it out. That is basically the only real modification I had to make to get it to fit.

Below are some better pictures to show the overall fitment of the grill. I will pull the front clip again to try and just the fitment slightly on the top. I'm 80% + sure I can improve the gap, but the "wavy-ness/drooping of the grill isn't changing as it is in the mold itself.

Fitment issues

Lower section fitment issues: None really. Fitment is flush with the bumper and that includes the winglets that go under the headlamps.

Eyelid fitment issues: Gap between eyelid and grill are noticeably larger than OEM and is slightly recessed compared to the grill. These issues do seem to affect the real grill but to a lesser extent. IMO this issue is more noticeable on the CF grill due to the color mismatch (black and CF)

Top of grill Fitment issues: noticeable gap and drooping/waviness where grill meets the top of the bumper. Drooping is an issue with the grill/mold itself and is not easily fixable. As for the gap, I will take another crack at adjusting it in the next few weeks. I am fairly positive I can lessen it, but I won't know for sure until I try.

If I were going to do this again, I would probably get the non CF version.

The only things bug me are the carbon and the fitment on the top. It looks much better with glossy black to fit the overall tone of the car.

It looks like the top bumper piece is sagging. Do you have picture of the side profile like this one?

*Edit adjusted the fitment. Gaps still exist, but are lessened to some degree. It could be improved further but would require shaving the part, etc.
