Hello, I plan to do a transmission fluid change from Honda HCF-2 fluid to Amsoil CVT fluid in the next cycle. What is the best way to get as much HCF2 out before filling it with Amsoil?
On Amsoil's website, they do not recommend using the flush for CVTs so I won't be doing that.
In total, how many quarts of CVT fluid will I need to use?

I changed mine recently to Amsoil. I decided to do 2 drain and fills to get a higher percentage of Amsoil. It takes approx 3.9 quarts but I would still buy 5 to be safe. You will get more old fluid out if you get the vehicle level while draining. Any future changes I'll do 1 drain and fill.

So in total how many quarts of Amsoil CVT did you use?
Also, any noticeable difference in the transmission after the change?

Before using non-OEM fluid, you should read this, particularly post #5:

why?

why?

why?

why do people think aftermarket products are better?

i will never understand this!!

i will never understand the fascination with aftermarket fluids

just use the honda fluid, its the best thing for your CVT
Who says its the best fluid for your Honda. Honda? Ya right. I used it in my Cvt Accord Sport and I now use it in my Civic. The only Honda fluid I will use in My car is coolant. I agree there are some one size fits all Cvt fluids out there that I are very questionable but I have yet to hear or experience anything negative with Amsoil.

Sorry for bringing up such an old thread but how’s the Amsoil CVT held up? I’ve been running Amsoil SS engine oil and have been quite impressed with it!
