Hey everyone,

So I am not really asking for help or assistance with the issue but I want data on the subject. So I am a heavy duty mechanic at a shop that is down a gravel road, don't worry I only have to drive on the gravel road for about a minute or two. Now even though I am on gravel for a very short amount of time I still manage to get rocks stuck between my rotors and dust shields, particularly the front. Does anyone else notice this happens more in their Type Rs vs other vehicles? My previous car was a 2017 Fiesta ST and never once did I get anything stuck in the brakes during my ownership but I have had to remove 7 or 8 single rocks from my front brakes so I think my dust shields are letting more in or the CTR has a new flaw.

Thanks for reading and excited to see your thoughts.

It's happened to me a handful of times already. Always ruins my day when I hear it.

Happened to me in the first week. Wife almost had a heart attack when she heard it!

The only time it happens to me is pulling off the track. I usually get some loud screeching and a couple popping sounds and then the rocks fall out. Annoying, but normal

Happens to me pretty much every time I drive on a gravel road. Most of the time the noises go away shortly after they start so I assume the rocks fall out on their own. Those few times where they don't, I pull over and tap on the backing plate with a screwdriver which does the trick.
