Okay y’all I’m not sure how long I’ll make it with this car since I’m having so much bad luck with my ‘18 ex hatchback .. the list is starting to get long on this one. now a blown head gasket (wet spark plugs ,white smoke , sweet smell etc) 15 months in and so many things going on to my car .. bad luck seems to always pick on me . Trading it in is probably not an option

Yes sir! Everything still the same as when I got my car last year brand new And I’ve always kept my rpms below 2.5k for the most part .. only 2-3 times where I prolly went to 3.5k rpms .. also is the head gasket covered by the warranty ??

Hell yes it is

Thing is I took it to the dealer I got it from on Monday around 2-3 pm they told me I had to either bring it the next morning since not just any of their techs could do the diagnostic that they needed one of their master techs to do it but I told them I couldn’t do that that since I didn’t wanna keep driving it. So it’s been there since Monday and today I went to check up on it and they still haven’t done or even finished up checking it.. talk about them taking their sweet time.

Depends. Sometimes the dealers try to pin the cost on the customer first. Depending on what is determined (failed head gasket?) then you may have to push back against the dealer that this a manufacturing defect and should be covered by the warranty. Sometimes folks here say "Honda" to mean the dealer... and sometimes to mean the large faceless corporate entity. if the dealer is proactive (which it doesn't really sound like it), they may research the issue and if unusual, reach out to the factory reps to come review the findings and determine warranty coverage and that the customer is not charged. That is will "be taken care of".

Or maybe what's happening is the tech that has the diagnostic skills is on vacation so the dealer doesn't have a choice but to wait too. As long as it's a warranty work and you don't have to pay out off your pocket is still good enough in my perspective.

Should definitely be covered, haven’t seen a failure like this yet but everyday is a new day. Have you seen any traces of dried blue in engine bay / radiator ? and how low is your coolant overflow reservoir ?
