I think an Acuity treatment here and there might be super-beneficial for more positive shifts with relatively little financial cost.

I've created a thread in the Tracking and HPDE section to document this, and see what aftermarket solutions are/will be available for Si owners looking to take their rides to the track. I can't imagine you pushing the car hard enough on the street to be facing this issue, nor should you out of safety so I would recommend upgrading only if you're serious about tracking your car multiple times per season. If you're doing AutoX, from my experience in the Si the factory diff will still be good.

We have worked on a handful of these this year in TC America. Great turn key race cars for spec classes. Power-wise noting crazy. They are tuned on a stock PCM with spec maps from HPD, the MoTeC all cars run in classs for datalogging purpose and rules, At the end of each race all the data is pulled to make sure no one is cheating. The camber plates aren't all that great in my opinion. The SPC ball joints are nice, we run them. The rear camber arms are made by RV6.

Anything you guys want to know about the car just ask.

Race car probably uses 4th a lot more, under full load conditions, than you will experience on the street. Comparably yes, 4th must be a weak spot.
^ He is correct, we found they spend alot of time in 4th gear and wear it out more than most.
That Borla exhaust though......
They stated,

The stance of the tires is interesting too, as they aren't completely flat.

That's to get the car to rotate, These 10th gens make a ton of mechanical grip.

I have no problems running my Si at the track. I am in 3rd and 4th with some 5th gear stuff though so the 4th gear problem is nice to know. No complaints from the factory lsd, learn you just have to stay partially throttled to get the most out of it.

I'm really interested the in the custom Bilsteins. I don't find the stock suspension to be a limiting factor for autocross at the local level, but I have a feeling that properly tuned Bilsteins will pay dividends on a high-grip surface.

How you doing with heat soak on these cars?

I was at an autocross yesterday and could only get in around 3-4 runs before the lap times noticeably dropped off. Mind you autocross is way different then a track day. Less amount of time spent at WOT and in between runs we have to sit in line at idle to get back on course.

Are you sure the tires didn't overheat?

I've only had heat soak issues on truly warm days at autocross, like 85+. Even then, I make sure I leave my car running with the hood closed and AC/Heat turned on . . . this uses the rad fan to pull air through the engine bay and cool the car. I monitor coolant temps with my OBD2 reader. For really hot days, I'll spray the intercooler and turbo piping with ice water using a garden sprayer.

On track events, you have air flowing over the intercooler at a good pace, so that helps. I haven't seen a lot of heat soak issues out on a track, but I'm in Pennsylvania where the temps are much cooler. Autocross is weird because you are idling so much, then run hard for a minute, and then idle again. It does weird things to temps.

Gang, is this car street-legal? Sounds like you could go to Honda, and drive a racecar off the lot for around $50k. I mean, the parts and labor to get a stock car to that condition would be, what, about the same investment ($20k), but you get one from Honda.

Thoughts?

No airbags for a start, so I highly doubt it. Beyond that it would be ass to drive on the street. It's a crazy good deal though! 25k over sticker for a full on race car built from what is about the most reputable place. It would be real hard to build that for less unless you already had a shop.

Purpose built race car. Not street legal. Likely no VIN number. Likely need to have a race license or proof of race team to purchase from Honda and compete with said vehicle.

These are some dope lower control arms! And the camber will definitely help with ripping through that track!

Definitely for off road use. Access to the parts and cars requires a membership into Honda's racing program

Having this type of support available is pretty cool though
