Personally, I vote for black rims if you ever plan on blacking-out the chrome window trim/front grill chrome (it's what I'm going to go with when when I upgrade to a new set of rims with summer tires), but if you prefer to keep the chrome trim/front grill chrome, then silver would compliment that best.

Bumping this old thread. It's time for tires and shops near me charge $120 just to mount and balance so I'm just buying a wheel/tire combo online because with the tax difference I'm basically getting a $200 credit towards the wheels. Looking at Motegi MR-131's and can't decide on Silver or Bronze. Anyone have Bronze wheels on an MSM car? Doesn't even have to be a CIvic just want to know how the colors go together.

As a MSM Coupe owner I 2nd this revival. I'm not looking, but this can be a nice reference thread for other MSMs. My preference is black. I bet bronze, depending on color tone could look sweet. Especially if a newer or chrome deleted front MSM.

My MSM is chrome deleted ...
I've thought of going black wheels, but. I fear that it'll make the car look really heavy down low.
I too, am interested in this thread staying current, and will be following it closely!

I've been leaning toward black or gun metal wheels. For a while I was thinking Bronze (with black accents or vice versa) but I'm not sure how well it'll go with the MSM.

I checked the member galleries and saw a few with bronze and they looked nice. I like darker rims, but not black. I'd go gunmetal, anthracite, or black chrome though. I'm just old school and black was traditionally what you painted your steelies when you couldn't afford wheels and wanted to take the hubcaps off to look sporty. Same with black trim, it was cheaper and thus the sporty models got it because traditionally the sporty models were strippers with little options. Nowadays you can only get the sporty models fully loaded and people are paying a premium to have what I view as downgrades (black trim, painted wheels). I prefer chrome as long as it doesn't add weight, it's just the time I was raised in. I've had a few blacked out cars though. Read all though the wheel threads and decided I needed 18x9 to get the look I'm going for. I just ordered a single (customer returned) Motegi MR131 18x9x35 from Amazon for $87. Now I gotta find the best deal on the remaining three and some tires.

I am currently deciding which wheels I want to go with for the spring/summer for my 2020 MSM Si Sedan I bought in mid November, and it's a struggle finding the right color wheel to go with modern steel. I'm normally a gunmetal guy, but I think gunmetal might be too close to the cars paint color. I then defaulted to consider black wheels, but the black OEM 2020 wheels will be my dedicated winter wheels next year (and say what you will about them; I actually really like them). I like to change things up from time to time, so I didn't want to run black wheels all year round if I didn't have to and would only buy a set if I found a wheel that I loved for a price I couldn't pass up. Chrome is absolutely out of the question for me. That leaves me with bronze; a color I had never considered as an option until I ruled out every other color.

I think AVID1 AV20 wheels in bronze (pic below), which is a cast replica of the Gramlights 57Xtreme, will look really good on a MSM civic. In my head they look great, especially since it is a pretty dark bronze finish, but there are so few examples of a MSM sporting a set of bronze wheels that I can't tell for sure how they would look. What do you guys think? And feel free to share some pics of your (or anyone else's) MSM with bronze wheels. That would really be helpful in deciding on whether or not this is the color I should with. Thanks!
